Should I try an over-the-counter sleep-aid med to try to ease the withdrawal effects? I'm 75 y/o and have had sleep difficulties for many years. The ambien was doing a great job but I hate to have the "addiction."

I don't like to ask a boring question, but I get bruises a lot on my arms and legs, and some of them are unexplained, like I didn't bump the bruised area, etc. (PS- and I don't drink, so blaming it on black outs or forgetting is not an answer.)

I've been diagnosed with eustation tube dysfunction because i have fluid in my ears casuing my right ear to feel blocked for over two months. I've tried sudafed, clarityn and octavine and have just been prescribed nasonex which my doctor said to try for ten days. Problem is i'm working in india for 6 months at end of sept so do i just go see an expensive specialist in the UK before i go if the nasal spray doesn't work or get treatment in india?
