This is a BIG debate on the Hill, but has been pushed on the backburner for a little while....for now, it is illegal to import pharmaceuticals, however it is not "enforced." You can get a 90 day supply, but you need to get your doctor to write a perscription etc....the rules will change, but the pharmaceutical companies are putting up a fight because the USA is their "cash cow." Just be sure if you do get you pharmaceuticals from Canada, that the packaging was not tampered with...there is a whole list of things to look for....I recently pruchased the book "Healthcare for Less" by Michelle Katz and she talks about ordering from online and gives some inexpensive websites and tells you what to look for.....I recommend this book if you want to save money and you don't want to get "ripped off." Oh, it also depends on what drug you are bringing into the country.....I would consult with your doctor and he may be able to help....

I can only suggest that one be careful from what country.
Mexico has very weak laws in controlling meds. Some can be purchased over the counter there, which are prescription only in US.
Prescriptions are a safeguard, not only that the meds have been tested for safety, but that a patient's condition can use them, or they are suitable for the age of the patient.

Sorry can't give you info on Canada.
