NONE of them... It is crazy that we give health care to the people who have a hundred children but none to the elderly and the uninsurable... I tried to pay for health care.. I was told becuase I have a pre-existing condition
(disc in my neck is ruptured) that I was not elegible for insurance.. I asked for insuarance on everything else and to not have that covered and they still refused.. said that a bad disc can cause other health problems.. So far everyone out there in hearing distance.. pay attention... THIS CAN HAPPEN TO YOU... Any one can get injured and no longer get health care.... There is something worong with a system that says you must have health care to get treated then tell you that they don't have to give health care to you.... I have been finding out that I am not the exception to the rule but more and more I have the rule... This is happening to many people.. and the next one could be YOU.... We all will get older someday and our insurance will run out and with all the stuff that they can exclude you from (seems the health care system only want to insure those who don't really need health care) You could be next... I urge everyone to stand up and be counted for... tell your Congress men and women that we need a new health care system.. one where no one will be discriminated against and all people can see a doctor when needed... other Countries have better health care then we do.. and we are one of the richest Countries in the world.. WE CAN DO BETTER,,,

Would you believe Ronald Reagan??? I was surprised when I realized that COBRA legislation was passed during his term as President of the U.S.

The Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA) required employers who offered health care coverage to allow a former employee to continue coverage for up to 18 months and in a few select cases up to 36 months past termination of coverage. It not only allows the former employee, but also their families or in the case of a divorce, the ex-spouse and any of her future spouses or children during the specified time frame.

The bad news is that all it does is allow the person the right to continue the coverage. It's expensive because that is the amount your employer was paying for your coverage per month.
