I'm having one next week because of a suspected peptic ulcer. But the doctor doing it said the procedure will take no more than 2 and a half minutes. I've heard of it taking up to 20 minutes. Is this doctor not being thorough? Or maybe he doesn't expect to find anything?

Also, if something is found wont a biopsy be taken?

i just got my wisom teeth taken out, so now my cheeks are swollen. I got them removed on Thurs morning, and the first two days I had ice packs. Yesterday and today I have been kind of alternating between ice packs and hot blankets. Does alternating actually reduce the swelling?

my boyfriend has a knee operation coming up. he was told he needs to cut back on his smoking or quit. he had a minor knee operation recently and it took 2 month's to heal instead of 3 to4 days.[because of smoking] now he's on the patch[still getting nicotine] so is this any better,will he recover faster because he's not actually smoking? whats the difference?

my toddler , 30 lbs., probably only ingested 1 80 mg. tablet of tylenol but possibly (very unlikely) ingested as many as 9, a total of 720 mg. Is this a toxic dosage for a 30 lb. toddler?

My mother from Burma ,when she was about 50 years old ,she had been minor surgery for to take out small little node on her throat, after two month later her both eyes are close very frequent times,it mean not like regular people timing, getting more worse, even though try to discussed with eye speacilist, can't do any better, just only giving nurves improvement medicine, please!....please!....Any body give me any advice, knowledge, to take care my mother for better treatements .............

every night, i toss and turn because i'm never comfortable enough
and every day for school, i'm tired as ever
i always have bags under my eyes and the area around my eyes are a little dark

and this isn't a recent problem, i've been strugling with it for years

also, i don't drink coffe
i'm not depressed or under any stress
and don't watch tv or go online before i sleep

i even try relaxing exercises but it still dosent help

anybody have any tips please?!!!

She said it has been there for about 3 months and it says it slowly swells then it "pops" and it is gone.Its not full of pus or anything and when I rub it it is pretty firm.She says she will go see a Dr. but I know she will put it off. Is there any reason to be worried for her ..well like I already am...but anyone know what might be the cause?And is there any worry?

I used contact lenses only for three days.

I felt they went out of focus very easily, I could be reading something clearly and suddenly the vision started to blur a lot in one eye. I tried to fix it closing my eye, but doesn't work.
And have a lot of troubles taking them out of my eye, my left eye ended all red (ALL) so I decided to quit, but I feel insecure with my normal glasses.

Any good suggestions?

Every time I wake up from sleeping my hands are numb sometimes up to my elbow. my hands are so numb they feel very hard and i cannot move them. it hurts to try to move them to try and get feeling back. after i do get feeling back they are usually tingly and hurt very bad for quite some time. i tried Icy Hot for a couple of days. It helped for a little bit during the day, but it is still there. It is worse at night than any other time. Please help I would really like some sort of answer here rather going to the doc.

I found headlice (both live and eggs) in my daughters hair recently and she's having her hair cut tomorrow ready for school...! On either side of her tonsil there are two swollen masses that makes the opening very small. It is not normally this way but she just showed me today?

My 4yr old nephew has been complaining of stomach cramps, which must be trapped wind, because he feels abit better once he's farted. But that stinks awful like rotten eggs, and so do'es his burps. Do'es anyone know the cause?
