Nocturnal Enuresis (bedwetting) is not normal at that age. I have to go with an earlier respondent who suggested that either the boy has an emotional issue that is troubling him, or an organic illness that could and should be treated. Go to a GP and get it sorted-out.

My Friends son still wets the bed, normally if he's worried about something, but it could be a weak bladder, I know this sounds wrong but get him to drink a pint of water an hour before bed, this has so far worked for my mates son.

There really isn't a normal age. Your son is obviously growing, but his bladder needs to do some catching up, this could take a while. Be patient. Don't hesitate to take him to the doctor, there could be an underlying medical problem. The doctor might also be able to prescribe a nasal spray that helps to stop bed wetting.

The most common age is about 3 or 4, but it also depends on the child. He could have problems with his bladder, be a child with adhd or add, or just be a very sound sleeper. Also depends if he's on regular medications for something and it's a side affect. Your doctor can give him a medication that helps with that, I had to for my 10 year old son. No more wet bed.

I am afraid that there is no 'normal'. Many people continue to wet the bed late into their teens. My mother was particulalry worried about me as a child as I had this problem. The short answer is that he will grow out of it, try not to stress him about the problem, as this can often make the situation worse.

it's not "abnormal" but unusual first you need to find the cause of the problem and solve it, is it a physical problem, are they lazy, do they drink too much, is it an emotional psycolgical issue are they bieng abused or bullied. By 13 he should have bladder control under most circumstances certainly overnight if he goes to the toilet before bed

one of my nieces had a bed wetting problem, her mother got her up in the middle of the night before she went to bed and sat with her till she went to the toilet, you may not want to sit with your 13 year old son! lol! but it worked, she hasn't wet the bed in years.

My son is 12 and still doing it, however he does have a rare kidney disease, and that makes it worse, as he has to drink 8 pints of water everyday.
Dry nights pajama pants they make for up to 15 year olds, so hopefully after that it will stop.

He's a) troubled... or he's b) ill.

a)
Anyone who wets the bed at this age is worried about something... is he being bullied at home, at school, in the neighbourhood... is he being abused in any other way... is he frightened of failing in school, of letting you down... of disappointing you...

b) Is he ill since any number of illnesses, could be the underlying cause? Diabetes for starters!

I was badly bullied and beaten by my older siblings and by my dad, who tied me up at nights, and I wet the bed at 13, because of it! I had no one to share with back inside the fifties... I know I wet the bed from fear. It stopped when I left home at fifteen.
