General Health Care - December 2007

Im 23 & my knees began aching i dunno, about a year or so ago & this summer, they just really started hurting...with winter...i feel disabled...embarrassed...i dunno y they hurt so bad! w/in these last few mos my elbows, ankles, back, neck, toes, wrists..everything is just popping...hurting...even w/o me doing anything! when i sit 4 long periods of tme, it hrts more! i visited a dr...they think im exaggerating..they did say it could have something to do w/ i have high cholesterol, low iron...heavy/abnormal periods...my weight/heght avrge..they havnt told me ne-thing...my hbby thinks me popping on a normal basis makes it worse..i dunno...my body is so used to be havng 2 pop it..it just does it on its own now...advice/help? im just scared about all these RA & premature arthiritis stories im readin...my dr recmmnded glucosamine...and i drank "joint juice"..and it helped...its only if i drink it everyday tho...has nE1..drank tht stuff...if so..what r ure thoughts on it?? pls reply!

I've been going to physical therapy twice weekly and my therapist, due to back issues, has me doing core stabilization but I swear my tummy is getting bigger and not flatter. It also feels firm like it did when I was pregnant and I know that I am not. What's going on?

I am only 19 and I have this strange pain in my knee. It happens randomly when my legs aren't even moving, it's so sharp I can hardly stand it, but it's so fast it just causes me to flinch and then it goes away.
But today I was driving and when it happened it lasted alot longer, I almost drove off the road and I had to pull over and basically whine and squirm until it went away.
I wear high heels pretty often so maybe that's part of it? And lately I've been wearing them pretty much every day because of work, and I'm on my feet for about 5 hours per shift.
Does anyone know what's happening in my knee joint or what it could be? Should I go see a doctor?

i feel down the stairs last week and hit my lower leg (2-3 inches above the ankle in the lower front part of the leg) it would hurt really bad when i would walk and put weight on my leg but after 2 days it was fine. now i have a bruise but it hurts a lot when i put on my socks any type of pressure hurts really bad. i was wondering if it was just the bruise eventhough i can't really see too much of a bruise put it feels like a bruise or can it be something else like a fracture?

Ok, so here goes: I have a bulging disk in my back that causes a LOT of pain ALL the time. I was previously treated with 3 7.5 mg's of Vicodin per day. That wasn't enough so I had went to my doctor's office which is a clinic. My doctor wasn't in so I seen another, and was in so much pain I was crying. The doctor told me the pain can't be that bad, threw me a script of Celexa and called it a day. About 2 weeks later I moved to another state and had called my doctors office to get a refill while in transition to find another doctor. To my surprise, they told me that the doctor I had seen stated I do need pain meds and I will not be getting anymore from them. Fine, so I went to another doctor in my new state, a walk in clinic and they gave me a script for one week while waiting on my records. When my records came the doctor that seen me sent a fax stating NOT to give me any pain meds. So I finally got a new doc who gave me a script for 1 Lortab 10 mg per day and hasn't gotten my records..

My foot doctor made me where a boot on my left foot because I cant stand the extreme pain from any pressure on my left heel.
The MRI tech said that the doc was looking for a possible fasciil rupture in the heel. What is that and what is the treatment?

I get headaches every night but have only had two doozy migraines ever (I was released from the hospital from one this morning). What do I do when one comes one? The two that I have had have woken me out of a sound sleep in the night. What do I do when they hit? I was prescribed topamax.

Whenever I sleep at night on my left side, my ear gets very painful. So much so that if I turn over, it takes about ten minutes to get to sleep because of the lingering pain. I used to get the same pain in my right ear, but not anymore. Anyone know what causes this?
