It works pretty well for me, its really been a lifesaver!
It, compared to things like Lortab, and Darvocet, has NOWHERE NEAR the amount of drowziness/dizzyness.
It usually helps with my muscle pain most, but it wouldn't hurt to try it for a headache.
Remember, headaches make themselves worse by causing the muscles in your head, face, and neck to tense up, causing muscle pain as well.

With ALL medicines, if this is the first time taking it, you should test it out WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY before you need to do anything.
Try taking it a few hours before you go to bed so you can see how it will affect you.
Just one really doesn't make me sleepy, it gives me a rather good feeling, but I suppose that's just because I'm not in pain!

All medicines affect everyone differently.
What works wonders for some, may make you sick as a dog, and what does nothing for some, may be a live saver for you!

I hope this helps some!!

Tramadol or Ultram do not usually cause excessive drowsiness. Everyone is different and can experience different severity's of side effects. drowsiness is listed as a side effect but I would say 9 times out of 10 it doesn't cause someone to accomplish normal ADL's. The med is not just used for muscular pain, it can be used for any pain. I would go ahead and try the Tramadol for a headache see if it works. Migraines are a whole different entity of headache. Tramadol may not work against the receptors that can cause a migraine. If you have been prescribed the medication, try it see if it works for you.

I take tramadol and it does my me drowsy. But then again the other meds I take also make me tired and drowsy. Interferon and Prozac. I still have to take Inbrupen since tramadol does nothing towards my flue symptoms.

I have taken it before for back pain. Some people it could make drowsy, but me personally it doesn't. It is an NSAID, meaning it is basically for inflammation, so it could help with muscular pain. The best thing however for muscle pain is a muscle relaxer such as Flexeril, Skelaxin, Robaxin or Soma. It just depends on you and how you take to pain medications.

Trimodal is a mild pain reliever in the hydrocarbon class. It's made for continual dispersion throughout the system, not just one shocking hit.
If you don't think Trimodal is doing it's job then see your Doctor for something a little heavier.
