I work 8 hours a day under horrible lighting at a fragrance counter. And normally it doesn't affect me, since yesterday I have had a terrible migraine that rest and tylenol will not work against. I went to the doctor who said she would still only let me take tylenol. Any other safe and natural remedies???

What do you think?

One sided headache with a throbbing pain that lasts about three days or more (the first being the most painful). A very localized pain that sometimes connects with the neck and eye. It gets worse with movement and efforts.

No nausea, no vomiting, no photophobia, no phonophobia.

I already went to the doc, an on duty doctor, he told me it's possibly a migraine. He said I should see my family doctor to keep track of it and have a more accurate diagnose. He told me that I might be asked to keep a diary about the headaches.

I applied sunscreen and everything but somehow it wasn't enough. Must have washed off in the water, even though it claimed to be waterproof AND I reapplied!!!

My back/shoulders/chest/face/arms are all sunburned.
It's really painful. And I'm scared because I know that I've just increased my chances of getting skin cancer.

I've done a black tea compress (soaking a towel in black tea and applying it to the area). Currently I am using an aloe vera gel spray called 'Sooth-a-caine', which seems to be relieving a bit of pain.

I'm hoping that by keeping the area moisturized, I will avoid peeling and the burn will just turn into a tan, taking the pain away as well?
True or am I completely wrong?

Can i take pain medications for the sunburn?

Any help will be very appreciated. I don't know much about sunburns, other than the fact that they are not nearly as harmless as most people choose to believe.

PLEASE HELP.

My right side hurts from just to the right of my belly button and curves around to my back to the right of my spine. I haven't done anything to irritate the muscle. I just got over having UTI when the pain started. It is a dull ache that turns into a sharp pain at times. If I press my side it hurts more. I thought it was a kidney problem and I've been drinking A LOT of water. When I use the restroom my urine is a bit cloudy and I don't go NEARLY as much as I should considering all the water I have consumed... The pain almost feels like a stitch you get after running a lot and the painful pressure you get if you have gas. I don't like the doctors so I try to avoid it as much as possible...but if someone could speculate what this is and if I really need to see someone for it.....that would be great....

I started a new job (this is my 4th week) that requires a lot of lifting and walking (warehouse) - I expected to be sore but not like this. My feet - the insides of my feet - and my back and my hands are the worst. I use bengay daily - soak everyday after work - I work 3, 12 hour shifts and have time to rest but even my first day or two it hurts to move. Is there anything else I can do to help???

My grandfather is in is 80's he fell and broke his leg this week. The tibia to be exact. The doctors say he needs to have sugery to put a metal plate in his leg to help strengthen it. My grandpa is is good health otherwise. He's not sick or dying or anything like that. the bone didn't break the skin so why are the doctors fiving him a blood transfusion? When he asked them all they said was " IT HAPPENS" and that he had a low blood count. What the hell kind of answer is that! Why would he have a low blood count if he's not bleeding from anywhere? Thye aren't giving him any answers. Is there something going on that the doctors aren't telling us? Is there a good reason for them to be doing a blood transfusion and al the other tests they've been doing if it really is just a broken leg? For some reason I think we're not being told everything. Please give any information you have as to why they would be giving him a transfusion for a broken leg.

Like most people are like "wow, im, hungry," Stomach growls, etc. And they go feel hungry. I dont get the growling, and what not, I just go right to this HUGE headache. Also after a while the back of my neck makes this "crackling" noise. That one is kinda hard to explane.

The patient was admitted for lap cholecystectomy with the assurance of getting back home in 3 days. The lap cholecystectomy was followed by open cholecystectomy, the reason said by the surgeon was that there was found bleeding in the liver. The patient was otherwise very healthy, had no past history of any surgery. I want to know if the bleeding in the liver was a result of medical misadventure during laparascopic cholecystectomy by the inefficient surgeon and so a subsequent open cholecystectomy (which was a major surgery) was performed? The surgeon never owned up his error. The patient actually expired some 15 days later.

What would be better for your health and longevity?

This is roughly based on 40mg of pain killer or the equivalent narcotic per day or so.

OR

6 to 8 shots of 80proof alcohol. 10 at most.

If one precedes the other which alcohol is best or what pain killer is best.

Doctors answers vary so much, that I'm looking for personal experiences or hard facts.

How is smoking weed different from smoking regular cigarettes? Besides the personal effects, does it pose the same environmental hazards? Does it affect non-smokers in the vicinity, the same way tobacco smoke does? Is there a site that can give me information on this topic?
