I have been having pain on the right hand side of my abdomin, just below ribs at about waist lever, it lasts about 3 days then goes away again for a few weeks and returns. I have inflammation on my sacroliac joint (so the doctor says) and this gives me constant aches everyday acroos lower right hand side of my back. Are the pain in my back and side related, do i really have inflamation or can these be symptoms of something else like kidney or gallbladder?

the sacroliac joint can cause extensive pain. It sounds more like a gallbladder problem because it comes and goes. You have to see your medical doctor and get an examination to find out what is going on.

For now do not eat any fried foods, fatty foods, junk food, alcohol, or chocolate. You have to reduce the fat intake to give a rest for the gall bladder. eat lots of fresh fruit and vegetables with small amounts of protein.

I know exactly what you have been experiencing, I have been having this pain since I was 14 years old. It feels like the stitch and, if it was a little lower down, you would forgiven in thinking it was your appendix. When I was 18 years old I started to suffer with chronic back pain and was told that I had inflamation of my S I joints just like you. I find that the day after I have the pain, my S I joint (mainly the right side) is really bad and at times cannot walk because of it. I am not sure why this happens. When I have spoken to doctors none have connected it with my back! If what we suffer is the same, and as I have had my condition for 35 years, I think the doctor would have diagnosed a kidney or gallbladder problem by now if this was the case. I am not a doctor, just someone who recognises your symptoms.
