I started a new job (this is my 4th week) that requires a lot of lifting and walking (warehouse) - I expected to be sore but not like this. My feet - the insides of my feet - and my back and my hands are the worst. I use bengay daily - soak everyday after work - I work 3, 12 hour shifts and have time to rest but even my first day or two it hurts to move. Is there anything else I can do to help???

FOR STARTERS GET SOME REAL GOOD SHOES AND INSERTS. MAKE SURE YOU ARE LIFTING CORRECTLY. YOU CAN USE ICE BELOW THE WAIST AND HEAT ABOVE THE WAIST THE SOOTH AWAY THOSE SORE MUSCLES. SOMETHING ALSO THAT HELP ME IS SOAKING IN THE BATHTUB. IT WILL GET BETTER.

Becko's right: You do need a good pair of shoes. I tried a cheap pair once when I had a job where I was on my feet all day long- and every day I wore them, I felt like I had been beaten from the neck on down with a rolling pin. I got rid of them and got some decent shoes, and felt much better.

You can also try some exercises to strengthen your back muscles, and perhaps a heating pad.

Good luck!

Lots of water and potassium, (banana's). You might also try stuff body builders use to help relieve sore muscles from lifting, BCAA'S with L-GLUTAMINE. The branch chain amino acids replenish what your muscles loose from the strenuous work or exercises.

And of courses the proper shoes for the job and your feet.

Definitely a hot bath or hot shower. When I have sore muscles, I make the water as hot as I can stand it. I find that it helps to loosen things up.
