I've tried the patch and the gum. Problem with that was, I'd have a cigarette in my hand, the patch on my arm, and the gum in my mouth. I was better off with just the cigarette.

Are there alternative methods to quitting? Im thinking the cravings are more psychological than physical. I really want to quit though! Please help!

I have whiplash and omg my neck hurts so bad. Ibuprofen isn't working and it's combined with moist heat and ice. What can I do to reduce the amount of pain I'm in? I'm resting a lot, too.

With very little walkingof standing my legs (fromt he calves down) start to ache badly. They also start to ache if I sit still for extended time. Further, they get cold easily and the only thing that will warm them up again (or relieve the aching) is soaking in hot water. I'm only 34 and slowly becoming crippled I think. Does anyone know what the problem is?

I've never really gotten sunburned before but yesterday I really got it. I think it really had to do with my meds which instruct to avoid exposure to the sun. My husband really wanted to take me to the airshow so I put on sunblock (SPF 50! I never used something that strong) and thought I would be ok since I never really burn that bad. Well, I'm scorched!! Red as a lobster and everything. My face doesn't really hurt but my arms are killing me. Plus my arms throb and this morning my right arm wouldn't stop cramping. It hurts so bad I can barely sleep. I've been putting on my aloe vera ice burn relief stuff which usually helps but this time it doesn't seem to be doing any good. Any suggestions?? I'm not sure what to do since I've never been burned this bad before. I usually just turn a little pink then tan because of my dark skin. Thanks for all your help!

I’ve had trouble on and off for years with my legs hurting—at times it’s been so bad I’ve felt like crying. It seems I never know when it’s going to strike, but lately, it’s been happening more and more. I’m 33 years old, overweight but not huge. My grandmother had arthritis that started in her 70s, and she had really bad knees and leg and foot pain. I don’t think anything is swollen—just painful. Last night my legs hurt from the back of my thighs down to my feet. My feet were tingling also. But mostly my right leg, in the part below the knee, hurt SO bad I couldn’t stand it. I took aspirin, and it didn’t help, I put sore muscle/arthritis crème on it (Pain Buster), and neither made it feel any better. I was in agony. Today they’re still hurting some, esp. the right leg. Not as bad as last night, but still, it’s bothering me that they hurt all the time. I also get elbow pains and arm pain some, as I did last night also.

I did a bit more walking during the weekend, but it’s not like I’m normally inactive. I work at a desk, but I do get up and walk around the building several times a day, going up and down stairs also.

Has anyone had anything that sounds like what I have. Any ideas about what could be the cause or any suggestions as to anything to take, such as particular vitamins or anything to do to help? It would be greatly appreciated.

About 1 month ago I was knocked over by some dogs and twisted my ankle. It was too painful to walk on for about 48 hours but soon got better. After 1 week it got knocked again as it was still weak but wasn't as painful as before. Its still quite swollen and sore. Could I have water on the ankle or something that requires treating or will it just take more time?

I believe I was stung by a bee yesterday evening while 4-wheeler riding in the woods. My leg started stinging and then a small whelp appeared. I didn't pay it any attention until this morning, my leg kept itching. Then I noticed a big whelp with a small black dot in the middle. I am NOT allergic to bees. Anyone have any home remedies to get the stinger out?

As a middle distance runner for the last 12 mnths, I have had increasing pain in my right illiac crest of my hip. I have been dilligent with stretching and monitoring distance and speed to ensure I don't overtrain. No expert to date has been able to relieve the pain. I know it is related to my illiotibial band of my leg, but even trying to strengthen my medial muscles has not helped. Any ideas on what is causing me so much grief and how I can relieve the pain so that I may keep up my running?

it isn't my spine or anything, my front left part of my neck, it hurts extreemly bad, and has for 5-6 days. i can cope with pain very well, i had MRSA, close to the avian flu, and i barely said a word about the pain, well anyways, so it hurts extreemly bad, especially when i swallow, i dont have a fever, im not sick, and the only thing that seems to work, and only for a few hours, is ibuprofen, but it still hurts a little when i take 400mg. it feels like someone cuts my neck all the way down when i swallow, but after, the pain goes away, almost. i dont know how it started, it just came out of the blue. the time that it hurts the most is in the morning, but it still hurts very bad at lunch time and at night. what should i do about this? please help, i cant stand it anymore.
