I believe I was stung by a bee yesterday evening while 4-wheeler riding in the woods. My leg started stinging and then a small whelp appeared. I didn't pay it any attention until this morning, my leg kept itching. Then I noticed a big whelp with a small black dot in the middle. I am NOT allergic to bees. Anyone have any home remedies to get the stinger out?

You never PULL a bee sting out. You scrap or scratch it out as it releases more poison when pulled.
But sounds like the end of the stinger is still in the skin and the rest is gone. It could be why jour leg is reacting the way it is.
Put ice on it and go and see you Doctor ASAP to allow him to get it out. And to make sure it was a bee, not anything else.

According to a couple of university web sites, the black dot means that part of the stinger is still in there and to try to remove it. But they also said just the opposite of vinegar and boric acid, in that they suggested ammonia or baking soda to neutralize the sting as well as an antihistamine like Benadryl and steroids like hydro-cortisone, and also papain which is a meat tenderizer.

There is a product called BORIC ACID OINTMENT. Apply to the site and cover with a bandaid. This will draw out the stinger. This product does not burn, looks like vaseline. Any pharmacy/walmart would have it on the shelf.

you have to go to a hospital to determine if it is really a bee sting and to apply some antidote for it.
