Whenever I lie down on my stomach after a long day of work, my back starts hurting. Eventually I get used to it, but is this something a chiropracter can fix? or is it something worse? I try to stand up and sit up straight, but my job requires a lot of bending. Is my back going out at 18?!?!

I got stung a FEW days ago! It left the stinger in but it pulled out easily. It stung pretty bad and left a four leave clover sized white mark with red around it. Then it turned into a little bump which I scratched in my sleep last night. Now my whole wrist is swollen flaming red with red itchy bumps and tingly up the arm. What is this and what will make it go away?
Thanks =)

The doc says I'll be out of commision for 4-6 weeks . Is there anything I can take to speed up the healing process , I need to be up and about in 2-3 weeks max . I am resting and everything but I am not able to mis that much work . The broken rib is a result of a sever coughing fit from pnomia , I am almost over the nasty bug . Would Creatin or hgh speed up the healing process ?

for 6 days now i always got pain or discomfort in my neeck or my upper back. whenever i do scapular squeezes or rase my arm up to reach something there is a lot of pain in my right upper back. No the pain is not from sleeping wrong or having a wrong pillow i seriously think theres a problem and it is not from working out or anything it just hurts. whenever i do scapular squeezes theres a pin in my right upper back and i can turn my neck left perfectly but sometimes when i turn my head right it hurts a little bit and whenever i do scapula squeezes the pain comes back and gets worse.. what do you guys think this is?

My shoulder was jammed in a car accident 4 years ago and even now, I sometimes get pains in my shoulder and arm - sometimes it feels like an ache, sometimes shooting pains, sometimes just tingling. Is this normal, 4 years later? How do you distinguish it from heart attack symptoms?

First I want to express my heartfelt thanks for all who are involved in this website (including members). It's been a lonely 3 years dealing with an illness that no one can see (other than the atrophy) andI've finally found your site. It's nice to know that I'mnot alone. nuff said:)

After three years of fighting the obvious I have finally come around to accept that I will likely have chronic pain in my left shoulder for the rest of my life. Boy, it's difficult for me to admit that. Anyhow, my pain specialist just switched me from Percocet 130 mg / day, to Methadone 5 mg 3x's a day. I've been hearing horror stories about Methadone, but I think I'm starting out very low. I've also been advised to consider the Spinal Cord Stimulator (SCS) implant as a means of pain control. Has anyone had success with the SCS used specifically for shoulder nerve damage (brachial neuropathy)?
My doctor said it's not usually used for this so he doesn;t have much historical data

I burst my left ear drum! =( The doctor wouldn't give me any pain killers, "we don't give narcotics here." Does anyone know what I could do to lessen the pain or make it stop hurting completely? All suggestions will be appreciated. Oh and I'm trying using a heating pad right now, but it's not helping much.

MRI LUMBAR SPINE

HISTORY: Back pain with left lower extremity radicular symptoms

COMPARISON STUDIES: None available

TECHNIQUE: Multiplanar sequences with T1, intermediate, T2, and/or T2*-weighted image contrast.

FINDINGS:
Generall: Lumbar alignment is normal. No evidence for fracture or neoplasm. Transitional lumbosacral anatomy with a rudimentary disc at the S1-2 level.

L1-2, L2-3, L3-4, L4-5: No significant abnormality.

L5-S1: Disc degeneration with loss of disc height and T2 signal intensity. A small right paracentral disc protrusion abuts the right S1 nerve root. A small hyperintense zone lies with in the posterior annulus fibrosis. Mild bilateral facet arthrosis without canal or foraminal stenosis.

Conus and intraspinal: The conus is normal in position and appearance. No intraspinal lesions.

IMPRESSION:
1. Small right paracentral disc protrusion at L5-S1 with small associated radial tear of the posterior annulus fibrosis. This abuts and slightly displaces the right S1 nerve root.
2. Transistional anatomy with a rudimentary disc at the S1-S2 level.

REASON FOR STUDY: ^Eval. for HNP. on 11/14/06 pt. injured his low back @wk. lifting heavy boxes, pain in low back radiating down lt. leg w/numbness in feet N/A

Would someone please explain the upbove information to me? At least make it easier to understand and as far as the pain & numbness goes would it radiate down the left leg or the right leg since it 'displaces the right S1 nerve root'?
Patient states that he informed the doctor it was his right leg but doctor noted left leg on MRI report. Would this change the whole outcome of the Findings/Impression?
