I bruised my tail bone at the gym on Feb. 28 - so it's been 1 1/2 weeks - I want to get back on the treadmill, to at least get some cardo in - any advice??!!!!! There is still pain - but it varies with time of day and what I have been doing.

That area is basically the center of movement for your whole body....basically meaning that you almost can't move anything without it feeling pain. You can take Advil or Motrin )generic is Ibuprofen) every 4 hours, and they may help....it's an anti-inflammatory agent. Just follow the label directions, that may help. Otherwise, it's just going to take time. Best of luck to you, I hope you feel better soon.

I broke mine and it was 6-8 weeks before I could lie down and be comfortable. Isn't that the worst type of pain?

I broke my tailbone.
A very bothersome injury.... It still bothers me to this day (10 years later) when I sit for long periods of time.

Try soaking in a hot bath with Epsom salts.
It helped me.

i fractured mine once & it took 4 ever to get well.good luck
