Start with seeing a chiropractor the cartilage is supposed to replenish itself but something is out of alignment causing it to wear away,

Glucosamine, condroyton, and sharks cartilage are products recommended where I live.

If there are also problems with muscles read The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook by Davies

Check out the KneeGuru website, to give you some ideas as to what you are dealing with. To really see what is going on with your knee, go to your doctor, and you should probably have an MRI, of your knee, so that the doctor can see inside your knee, and tell you what is wrong. You could have a torn meniscus, like I do, and I had the MRI, saw the pics.of my knee, and am now waiting for arthroscopic surgery, to cut the broken piece of cartilage off. The knee is very delicate, as you have ligaments, nerves, muscle, and cartilage to deal with. good luck..........
