My grandmother is 65. She has an arthritic hip, and takes Darvocet --(Darvon+ Tylenol). As a result she gets constipated, as do all people who take pain killers. What works for you when you take pain killers, and have this problem

My daughter has had a cold for almost a week now; head and chest congestion, runny nose, stuffy nose, etc. Now this morning, the cold has settled in her right eye. It is not pink eye! I am just curious before calling the doctor to see if anyone knows about toddlers and eye drops. Thanks.

Has anyone ever had Tonsillitis? Yesterday my Doctor said that I have it because I went in complaining about feeling somehting in the back of my throat. He put me on penicillin. Does anyone know how long it usually takes before the penicillin kicks in and my tonsills go back to normal? I hate this feeling of somehting in my throat.

They are not canker sores. They are small and red. Could be just one, or a few. They are not from hot foods or anything, because they usually appear after I wake up in the morning, not after I eat. They come and go. Are they cold sores?

He sleeps constantly, I'm talkin he goes to work and comes home and takes a like 3 hour nap, wakes up, eats a little, and goes back to sleep until it's time to wake up in the morning. It's definetly not an all year thing, but it seems like around fall every year he gets this way. This is our 4th fall together and it's the same every year. What can we do to snap him out of it and get him to be a productive member of society again!?

The directions given in the print out is to give my son one and half teaspoons of antibiotic. I assumed that as 1 1/2 tsp. It turned out only 1/2 tsp. In the past, the same pharmacy would write it with numbers instead of words. And I did see a prescription from the same pharmacy wrote "half teaspoon" instead of one and half teaspoons.

I'm in college, and I work two jobs, and I have to wake up every morning at 7:30 for class. Trouble is I sleep through my two alarms, and it's starting to weigh down my grades! I've even had to make fake doctors notes for it! So anyone got any suggestions?

Every six weeks or so I get a "blemish" at the corner of my mouth or right where my lips meet the skin. They start off as small painful dots, but I can't tell if they're zits or cold sores. If I put anti-acne medication on it overnight, it will form a big white head by morning. I guess it dries out and "pulls" to the surface. Gross.

Should I treat these as acne or as coldsores?

And if it's acne, what can I do to stop getting them?
