I take a needle and brick the blister at its base. Then, push down on the blister and the liquid comes out the hole at the bottom. Don't prick the very top of the blister because you have to push all the liquid up to the top and that hurts more than pushing down.

Take a wet wash cloth and stick it in the freezer, let it get nice and cold and wrap it around the offending blister, let it sit for a while and let it numb up the blister and the surrounding area or appendage, take a needle, sterilize it by torching it with a match or lighter. Stick it in the very middle of the dome of the blister, to create almost like a little eye. Gently drain the blister by pushing the washcloth on it, when done, use an antiseptic or a salve like neosporin and cover snugly with a band-aid.

If you really must pop it, get some ice, and hold it over the blister for a couple of minutes, until the area around the blister is numb, then use a pin, squeeze out all the muck, dry the area with a tissue, then cover it with a plaster / band aid.

You shouldn't pop blixters but if you do poke it with a needle and stretch the hole a tiny bit and squeeze the stuff out and put a bandaid on it dont pull the skin off.

Heat up the end of a straight pin and poke it gently. The stuff inside will come out.
