My daughter has had a cold for almost a week now; head and chest congestion, runny nose, stuffy nose, etc. Now this morning, the cold has settled in her right eye. It is not pink eye! I am just curious before calling the doctor to see if anyone knows about toddlers and eye drops. Thanks.

I have read the answers so far....thanks for the responses. Would using a warm compress over the eye be a good idea?

I would not place any drops in a child's eyes unless prescribed by your MD or practioner. RN in Ca.

I would not put anything in my kid's eye without checking with the doctor first.

It's okay. Either get a prescription for your pediatrician, or call and see what they recommend. Not every drop is okay for children that young.

I wouldn't take a chance with my baby. Call the ER and ask them.
