STDs - December 2006

Ever since I can remember I been getting what people told me were fever blisters. They're blisters on my lips. I did some research online and I think its herpes. I never had sex. and if i have it. How did I get it? Can I die? Is it like aids? I have it right now. I always get it and goes away. So It should be gone in a couple days. I just hate them. I get them maybe once or twice a year for awhile then they disappear.

ive been getting this fear that I will get HIV from eating food at fast food places or any other places( say that someone puts blood or semen in your hamburger) and ive been getting alot of bleeding lips and stuff from the dry weather, so i have been really scared

so the question is, when HIV positive blood or semen is outside the body(say on a hamburger) how long will it live for?

and I don't mean just the virus itself in labratory conditions which most would say 5-45 seconds. unless it is 5-45 seconds.

So, I have a friend who has HPV high risk.....Is this the virus that causes cervical cancer? Does the high risk virus cause genital warts? She has these little skin colored bumps near the opening of her vagina, could these be genital warts? They aren't cauliflower shaped or anything, but they are flesh colored. Please help because she is freaking out!!!!

It seems like a simple question but go on any personals website like Yahoo, Match, Lava Life, True, eHarmony, MSN, etc. and you won’t find it any where. Nor by doing a “keyword” search will any of the terms come up in the millions of profiles on these sites. Why would a site that is tacitly encouraging you to have sex disregard your personal safety by not even asking prospective partners to address the topic?

i've never had an STD before and im not sure i have one now. i had unprotected sex a week ago. it was the first time i did since i have been tested (clean) and it was with someone who had been tested just 3 months back and came back clean and had just one partner since then. i am prone to UTIs and i thought i was getting one two days after the first intercourse. i called the doctor and got medicine. now i am detecting a very strong foul smelling odor from my discharge and VERY light spotting but no pain AT ALL. not even a little discomfort or redness or itching. since i have been on my antibiotics, there is not pain during urination either. is it possible that i have a STD with no pain? if so, will my antibiotics for the UTI clear it up? the antibiotics are Macrobid 100mg capsule 2/day for 10days.

Everybody I've asked has given me different answers. I hope there's a doctor or nurse out there who can help me. I received the hep b vaccine 9 yrs. ago. I routinely get screened for everything at my obgyn including hep b. Now last time I went my doctor said I had antibodies. She never told me this before. My antibody level is 600 and I had a negative antigen. She said the antibodies were from the vaccine. Now my concern is did these antibodies show up because my boyfriend exposed me to hep b? i know I've had the vaccine but I don't want to keep exposing myself to something like this. Or did they just show up only b/c of the vaccine and not b/c I was exposed? My boyfriend can't have his blood drawn so I cannot check this way. Is there any way to tell by my blood results? i'm so confused.

When my guy ejaculates in me...I stink! It's embarrasing! What causes that?
