Hello:
This is in response to your question concerning use of the new vaccination for HPV (Gardisil).
I am a family physician who uses gardisil quite frequently now.
It is the first vaccination in medical history that can actually prevent a form of cancer (cervical cancer)!!!!
I am sure pretty soon that the CDC and the ACIP will soon recommend gardisil to all young girls and add the vaccination to the required immunizations.
Gardisil is indicated for young girls and adult females who have not become sexually active yet or who are already sexually active and test negative for the human papilloma virus (HPV). There are literally dozens of strains of HPV but only a few are responsible for causing cervical dysplasia and cancer. If my memory serves me, the strains are #'s 6, 11, 18 and 31. Other HPV strains are responsible for genital warts, typical skin warts, plantar warts, etc. These are not dangerous.
For the first time in history, we now have a means of possibly eradicating cervical cancer!!!!!
The vaccination schedule requires that the patient recieve more than one shot.
Even though this new vaccination is promising in eliminating the risk of cervical cancer, it does not protect against other sexually transmitted diseases, so you still must use safer sex practices and condom use to lower your risk of contracting HIV, herpes simplex II, gonorrhea, chlamydia, syphilis, etc.
I hope this helped answer your questions and concerns regardiing gardisil.
Best of luck!
Regards,
Warren Shaffer, M.D.

I got identified with herpes (type 2) about five yrs ago, whilst I was still in college and had a silly one-night stand. I realize loads of girls say this, but I swear I had never done that sort of thing before. I just made a massive mistake that one time and all of a sudden it seemed like I was going to have to live with the implications for my entire life. The hardest part was feeling I could never date men again. After all, who wants to go out with a girl who has sores around her private parts? But since a friend shared this movie https://tr.im/9DTGQ everything improved.

Not only was I able to eliminate all remnants of the herpes virus from my system in less than 21 days, but I was also able to start dating again. I even met the guy of my dreams and I'm so blessed to write that just a week ago, in front of everybody in a crowded restaurant, he got down on one knee and proposed to me!!! This program provided the opportunity to be happy and experience true love again. Now I want to help others too by sharing this story.
