Skin Conditions - February 2007

It has become a bruised brown colour just below the tip. It can't be dirt as it where the finger / skin is attatched to the mail and I also regularly clean my nails. I've never had this before and it isn't painf ul.

I had my titanus shot 6 days ago and i felt swollen in my upper arm for 'bout 3 days. I thought, everything will be back to normal after a few days, then I woke up 2 days ago scratching my arm and felt a big bump below an inch or two to where my shot is. It's red and very itchy..and bumpy. it feels like a bite. the size is like a normal size of a leaf and it's red. I don't know if this is normal or what. but how come the swollen part is not on the spot where the shot is? Please help..need some answers. thanks!

my little nephew has terrible dandruff and I know it bothers him but nothing we say seems to help (suggestion wise) he has thick hair and might not be rinsing enough, but it could also be something else as I havnt talked to a docter or anything... his dandruff is very obvious and I want to help him out.

dandruff shampoos arn't really working ... anyone have some home remedies or personal experiences that would help?

okay, my armpits sweat, A LOT.
it's not because of what i use on them, so don't give me a brand of whatever.
i'm skinny, but my hands are always cold & sweaty.
my friend told me to try this rub on anti-perspirant where you put it on before you go to bed. it works, i mean, my armpits aren't sweaty. but they itch and are very rashy. so i'm going to stop using them, but i need something that will also work, but not itch.

OK well i have bad acne and so dose my sister and we can't bay any acne creams and we were worndering if you all would have any home reaminds that might work fast or help a lot within 1 week?

Well my problem is that I have very small tiny red bumps on my body. Mostly on upper arms close to my shoulders ( but lately they have been moving past my funny bone done my arm) the bumps look very tiny but there allot and they are a reddish color. I also have these on my thighs and all over my legs. I do not have any on my face (well just a very little like maybe 20).




I am 16 and i do not believe this is b/c of puberty because i have had this for years now. so they are not pimples.

I am lactose and tolerant if that helps. I do not consume much protein in my diet. and i have a couple of extra pounds on me :( will lose them very soon.

please tell me if you know of any one who has something like this. And how they got rid of it ( even though i am lactose i still eat cheeses and drink some milk)

( I plan on losing the flab and avoid milk but if the condition persist and i don't receive much help here i will have to consult a dermatologist.)

....ok..this may seem gross..but...I am freaking out to be honest.

...I always wear fake nails..I love to change them often...etc.. well, recently..It seems that ..my nail (especially on my thumbs) has separated from the nail bed....I have looked up info. on this ....but.. my fingernail has turned white....I also bite my nails (terrible habbit) but.. it has gotten disgusting..it has killed my nail..the whole thing (on both thumbs) is white and smells horrible....as if it is rotting...or an infection. I am soo worried..it seems soo gross..but I was wondering if anyone really knew what this could be..or is it..really from the glue tearing my nail up? ....I really would be embarrassed if anyone saw this..it is grosssss.....I just am worried about the smell..it doesn't appear to be infected..but it looks horrible. Please help..I am ..very worried!

so today is my 6th day with accutane and tomorrow will be a week. my skin on my face is already peeling and the zits are all dried out and just crispy. but my lips arent chapped and the rest of my body is not dry. i am on the 40mg. does this mean that its working fast? i havent had any flare up. will these pimples just come off and then the huge flare up will happen? or are they going away already? thank you

Since last June, my scalp has been red and botchy. There's no red bumps or scales and not even a hint of dandruff. My hairdresser told me to get it checked out or else my hair follicles would scar over and that's exactly what is happening. I've tried all the shampoos, even prescription, nothing helps. I've even stopped using hairspray. I've been to 3 doctors and no one has a diagnosis. I'm not sure what to do next, but I really don't want to be bald by 30.
