Nothing will get rid of all your acne in one week, but there are things you can do to help prevent future breakouts.
1) Wash your face morning and night with a GENTLE (preferably sensitive-skin formulated) face wash and warm/cool water.
2) If you need to, you can make a scrub/mask out of a mixture of oatmeal and honey; oatmeal has just enough roughness to it to help exfoliate the skin and honey has moisturizing and antibacterial properties. Swirl gently on the face and let sit for 5-10 minutes, avoiding the eyes. Rinse off with tepid water and follow with your cleanser, if necessary.
3) For a natural moisturizer, try a dab of olive oil. Not too much.
4) To dry out individual pimples, try making a paste out of baking soda with a few drops of water. Apply to the pimple and let sit overnight.
5) Change your pillow cases regularly, or place a towel over your pillow and change every 2-3 days.
6) a general rule of thumb is that if it's safe enough to go in your body, it's safe enough to use on your face. Try googling 'natural skin care recipes' and see what you find.

Make sure you are washing your face clearly. Here are some tips
1. Remove every trace of make-up/cosmetic on your face. Use cotton ball and moisturizing cream to avoid damaging your skin.
2. Use lukewarm water. Avoid using too hot and too cold water that can dry out your skin. This will also open the pores for deeper cleansing.
3. Avoid strong or harsh soaps/ cleansers. Strong soaps can dry your skin and strip off natural lipids. Choose soap that are mild if you prefer soap, or you can always choose cleansers that are soap- free, non- comedogenic, and mild like Cetaphil, Burt Bee’s or Neutrogena.
4. Massage face by gently rotating upwards your middle ring and pinky fingers. Remember that hard rubbing will actually do more harm than good.
5. Rinse face well to remove all residue of soap or cleanser. Residues left behind can actually clog your pores. Facial cleansers can leave an invisible residue behind which can clog your pores. Rinse three times, then rinse again.
6. Pat dry with soft, non- abrasive towel. Never ever rub your face.
7. Use an alcohol- free toner on your face. It should make your face feel smooth and refreshed. Astringents and toners with glycolic or alpha hydroxy acids work the best for toning the face. These acids actually can reduce the pore size, and help avoid ingrown hairs. They are aggressive and have quick results. Remember to look for a product that is not photosensitive (sensitive to light).
8. Finish off with moisturizer to replenish the natural oils that has been lost. Moisturizing is a necessity. Again, the product with the least amount of chemical additives is the best. Always use a light moisturizer on your face after cleansing. For an intensive moisture treatment use pure vitamin E, or aloe vera oil. It is available in liquid form, or just break open a capsule and apply the oil directly to the skin.

Ask your dermotologist about Ziana- a new acne gel. It works wonders. And I have tried everything. Also, always wash your skin with cool water, never hot. I use Cetaphil face wash and moisturizer and it works really well. I am also on ortho low birth control which helps balance my hormones. And, I also use a foundation that is oil free.Clinique has great ones. I am acne free now:)) Also, you may need accutane if this doesn't work, tha will definitly clear it up, but it may come back. But at least once its gone, you should maintian a good skin regimen so that it doesnt come back.
Good Luck

OK Bunny,
This is the third time today that I've sent this out. I clipped an Ann Landers column out of the Dallas Morning News and have kept it in my recipe file since. Ann Landers was once an advice columnist and she had an egg yolk acne remedy. All you do is to get egg yolk and put on your face like a mask, leave it on for 10 minutes and wash off. Do this every day for a month. You continue the treatment with 2 times every month for 3 months and again if your acne acts up.

good luck to see results in a week. If your parents have a medical plan, go to a doctor and get a perscription. Or get birth control pills if your sexually active, they help with acne. Oatmeal will NOT work. Honey might though. Drink 8 glasses of water per day, and wash your face 4 times per day.

DON'T EAT BREAD ... as studies have shown that this may be the culprit behind acne.

http://www.mercola.com/2003/aug/23/acne.htm
ALSO ... for future reference (and present reference, really) Avoid Petroleum Products Petroleum products (ESPECIALLY ON YOUR FACE AS IT WILL CLOG YOUR PORES), such as petroleum jelly, baby oil, mineral oil and preservatives that are commonly found in store-bought lotions, creams and skin care products are foreign to our skin cells and clogging to our pores. They also attract dirt and bacteria and can become vehicles for these unwelcome substances. When our skin has to deal with this abuse everyday it ultimately weakens and breaks down the strength and durability of our skin and can cause an allergic reaction. This is very evident with the rise in skin allergies, dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, DRY SKIN and skin cancer.
You should only use products that are truly "all natural" (read the ingredients) and organic, if at all possible. The only oil you should put on your skin, especially, because it is so sensitive, is organic, unrefined, coconut oil. And soaps dry out your skin even more, so you should wash w/ products that do not contain "soap" or any fragrance, that are non-comodogenic. do a little research, but trust me ... I've done the research myself & have very sensitive skin, and for health reasons, most importantly, I only use natural, organic products on my skin, body, hair, and for consumption. I don't even use regular toothpaste, mouthwash or deoderant, if it's not organic, and truly organic. Check out this website for starters: http://www.inspiredliving.com/organic/or...

Nothing is going to work inside a week be it home remedy, over the counter or prescription. Honey and oatmeal will help the inflammation but won't get rid of the zits.

My 13 yr old daughter is prone to bad acne. I started to give her 4oz of carrot juice a day, along with one cold-eeze lozenge (for the zinc) and the acne has cleared up. The beta-carotene needs zinc.
