you could use rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball before bed every day. it kills bacteria causing germs, and cleans your face of dirt, etc. but dont use more than once a day, because your face can peel. you can find other solutions at http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/7321/homemade_acne_treatment.html

I struggled with acne for years and I finally found the solution that works for me. We have been fooled, tricked, deceived, and just plain lied to. It's time that someone put a stop to it, and everyone learn the truth!

Those of us who suffer from acne have usually been given 2 choices and neither of them work:

1. Over the counter remedies such as cleansers, creams, ointments, etc. These things have been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.

2. Go see a doctor and or dermatologist. They will generally prescribe prescription drugs which include topicals and or antibiotics. This, too, has been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.

I found a step-by-step program that cured my acne and it has never come back. It is amazing and doesn’t use any drugs or doctors. The truth is that acne can be cured…if we know the secret the doctors and drug companies don’t want us to know.

There is a great website: http://acnehomesolution.com/index.html that has all the details. I really suggest you check it out and see if it works as well for you as it did for me.

I've been using a honey and cinnamon mixture for the past few days and I noticed results right away. Of course I dont put on a lot of makeup, so it goes right on the skin. I suggest usuing a heavy duty face cleaner... maybe something like Noxzema

Just mix honey and cinnamon. The honey is a proven effective moisturizer and has natural antibacterial properties. Im not really sure what the cinnmon does, but I think it either opens your pores or rubs off dead skin cells.(maybe both)

Good Luck

You dont have to pay for all the extra crap that is not at all good for your face. I really recommend not buying acne face washes or stuff like that. They are packed with chemicals that turn your face red, and really dry it out. if you buy anything like that your going to have to buy moisturizer also. you wont be satisified with the results so you will keep buying different kinds with none of them working

I used to have really bad skin and have used all the over the counter products. I had been seeing the infomercials for Proactiv for a couple of years and had wanted to try it but just thought that it was just another product that cost money and wouldn't work. Then a co-worker told me that she'd been using it for awhile and swore by it. So against my better judgement I ordered it. I'd just like to say that there are products that really do as they claim. Proactiv has three little steps that take so little time there's no excuse to not use it. As well I love the mask that you can also use. What a difference in my skin. Do I sound like an infomercial??? I cannot say enough good things about this product. Well worth it!! TRY IT!!!

Murad has a really nice exfoliator that helped me when I first started getting acne. It's not too expensive. I only use all natural & organic products now (I've tried a lot of different "acne" products that didn't work after Murad stopped working for me - granted, this was years later of it being effective), and although I get the occasional pimple, it's not as bad as it used to be. NEVER, EVER, use alcohol on your skin. This will not only dry your skin out but irritate it even more!

As for the organic products I use for my skin, check this site out ...

Ask your dermotologist about Ziana- a new acne gel. It works wonders. And I have tried everything. Also, always wash your skin with cool water, never hot. I use Cetaphil face wash and moisturizer and it works really well. I am also on ortho low birth control which helps balance my hormones. And, I also use a foundation that is oil free. I am acne free now:))

Good Luck
