Since last June, my scalp has been red and botchy. There's no red bumps or scales and not even a hint of dandruff. My hairdresser told me to get it checked out or else my hair follicles would scar over and that's exactly what is happening. I've tried all the shampoos, even prescription, nothing helps. I've even stopped using hairspray. I've been to 3 doctors and no one has a diagnosis. I'm not sure what to do next, but I really don't want to be bald by 30.

Hi Jewels

Any type of skin tone can be reversed if you get enough blood circulation in the damaged area of the body. THe key is to get new blood cells into the skin. Here are 3 methods that I would use.

Hydrotherapy = using hot and cold water to move new blood cells into the area. Also be sure to drink a gallon of water a day to push out waste.

Herbs = cayenne peppers and ginger move the blood flow like no other herbs or food. Also use herbs to do a colon cleanse to help clear the toxins out of the blood

Energy healing = use a technique called Pranic Healing or Reiki to balance out the body's energy centers.

Click on my name and email me for any questions.

Best of health to you

If the skin peels or there is any liquid on the scalp (other than blood), the issue may be Seborrehic Dermatitis. I found that the nature of the dermatitis depended on how I tried to treat it myself. If I used heavy shampoos, I ended up with scale, if I used nothing, I ended up with peeling and redness. It seems to only occur on hormonally-driven hair-bearing skin. My upper forehead where I had some hair as a child almost completely peeled off. Mine was treated with a systemic steroid, Prednisone. It did clear the issue up for a number of years. It occationally comes back in various places, not always on my scalp (on my hands right now). Some places its peeling and redness, sometimes its flakey, sometimes it just seems like dry skin.

your dr should refer you to a dermotoligist but you say you have seen 3 doctors well now its time to demand you see a dermotologist-they are the ones who specialise in the subject-dont bother trying anything else, get a consultant there could be many reasons for this and you mave to have test done for alergies etc.good luck
