I have had a cough fo a while. But I will go to a doctor soon. I'm putting you guys to the test. It is a very air, dry cough. Nothing comes up but it feels just like air being pushed through my lungs. It is very loud also. Apparently it sounds like a dog barking. What do you think it may be? I dont control it. Air just pushes through my throat and lungs and it just happens.

COPD is an acronym for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. My wife has fought bronchitis for the last two or three years. She recently came down with a severe case of double pneumonia. After that was cleared up, we found out from a pulmonologist that all of this caused by COPD, although she quit smoking over 20 yrs. ago.

A very close Spanish friend of mine has been struggling almost a lifetime with asthma. The current asthma medication being used will be discontinued by the manufacturer. Asmanex could be an alternative, but I cannot translate the info I found from English to Spanish.

She has never smoked, but she does have rhematoid arthritis. She has had bronchitis for about two weeks. The bronchitis is doing better, but she has a ct scan tomorrow because of the nodule that was found. Could the nodule be pneumonia or the bronchitis. How likely is it to be cancer and what are the expectations if it is cancer.

What could it be? You know its October when she starts coughing at night. Tried asthma inhaler, doesnt do anything. Recurring virus? Have no clue what it is. Started when she was 3. She has at least one episode a month, lasting several days, through the winter until the weather gets warm again, about April/May. Possibly an RSV type thing? Any ideas?

I take Zyrtec-D, Nasonex and Advair (250/50 once daily). I did take Singulair but stopped without any noticable changes to my allergies or peak flow/asthma. I also have an Albuterol Inhaler but haven't used it since I started taking Advair in 10/2004. I also get allergy shots and have been for over 2 years. I was told to continue getting allergy shots for 4-5 years. I've heard allergy shots also help asthma - any truth to that? If so, could one stop taking Advair to see if it is still necessary? Just curious......

I was diagones with active pulmonary TB about 7 months back. I was not well for about 2 months, but am doing good since then. I am currently taking medicines regularly, as per the doctors advice. But, wanted to know how long will I have to take it? Also, is there any way/test to know when to stop medicines, even if I am feeling good.

I have been to the doctors 4 times in the past 2 weeks and i'v had 2 hospital trips for what the doctors think (but arent completely sure) is whooping cough. Also.... they thought i had pnuemonia, but they took an X-Ray and the X-Ray said that there was no more fluid in my lungs and that there was a "spot" or "noduel".... I'm only 15, I have never smoked and i've never had any type of surgery on my lungs or around that area..... What could this "spot" or "noduel" be ?????.......... Are there any people who have had this happen to them or any doctors/nurses that can help me w/ a serious answer ?
