I also was home from work yesterday on strict orders from my physican to get bed rest. But I'm back at work now because I'm a nanny for two boys. When I can't work, my parents can't either.I'm trying to take it easy and I'm still wore out.Plus I'm a smoker and I have smoked today and yesterday.

Arrange time off from nannying and go to bed. Yes, go to bed.

If you keep working, keep smoking, keep active, your infection will get worse and worse. You could make those two precious little boys sick. You could end up hospitalized or out of work for months. Your doctor put you on bed rest for a reason.

Go to bed. Accept that you will feel like crap for a few days as your body fights the infection. Take your meds as prescribed. Eat chicken soup, take supplements of Vitamins A,C,E, and B12. Echinacea and Zinc also may help. Tylenol for pain and fever. Decongestants will help, too. Keep up the fluids and you'll be back to your old self soon.

I assume you are under the care of a physician. That said, unfortunately, there are times when we are sentenced to bed rest and there is no peace except when we are able to sleep. I've been there and it's no fun. Just remember to continue to hydrate, rest, and think happily of the day you feel good enoough to get to the refrigerator for a dish of ice cream.

Good Luck

you might try adding 1000mg of B-12 vitamins, make sure it is the kind that melts in your mouth, stomach acids destroy B-12.
you might also add co-enzyme Q-10 100mg, this increases the production of ATP in the cells and allows for more rapid healing once the infection is eradicated by the antibiotics.

Unfortunately it may take a couple more days to feel better.
A cup of HOT tea will help break up your sinuses. (even if its only for a couple of minutes)
Rest if that's what your body is telling you to do.

Get well soon.
