Yoga would be good. It helps burn fat and tones you up. Plus, it's very slow paced, so there is no worry about aggrivating your asthma. I would also suggest consulting with a personal trainer, as they can help design a specific exercise plan for you. And I would also think about a mild diet. Nothing extreme, but something where you could slowly lose weight while you are exercising. Good luck to you.

control you eating, get a good pari of shoes for walking, and start walking
if you have knee pain, start riding a bike
or get some swim trunks and start swimming
add some basic weight lifting/strength training to the mix and the pounds will drop or the fat will shift to muscle, either way you win
first, work with a pulmonologist to properly manage your asthma
asthma that is properly managed will not prevent you from participating in normal activities including sports
check in with your doctor or pulmonologist before beginning your exercise program, but you can starting eathing healthy right now
don't put these things off, you'll start to feel better about yourself right away
good luck
