Pretty well any one with a Hepa Filter should do the job. Here are some that are widely available: http://froogle.google.com/froogle?q=air+purifier+with+hepa+filter&hl=en&lr=&rls=GGGL,GGGL:2006-23,GGGL:en&sa=X&oi=froogle&ct=title

Have you looked at the Oreck or Smarter Image web sites to start...They have air purifiers...just not sure which is better. Yes Hepa filtratin will take care of the air impurities. Do you vac often with a hepa filtered machine? This could helpto keep up with the hair. Also there are shedding reducer shampoos and combs to lessen hair dispersal....check the pet stores or go on line to research the items..good luck!!!

Get rid of the cat! my son has asthma and we removed all the carpets from out house and replaced them with hardwood flooring . It is easier to keep clean.

You should have a HEPA filtered air cleaner in his bedroom. The cat should not be allowed in the bedroom
