I'm 18, and when i was 17 i started having problems breathing, so far it has progressed to the point of me having full blown asthma attacks(I have never heard of ANYBODY getting asthma later on in life either!!!) and needing to use xopenex in emergence's and albuterol sulfate nebulizer everyday, but i have started noticing I get really shaky after taking it and I am having nightmares almost every night(for more then a month now). my asthma problems seem under control, but the nightmares are really starting to bother me, is there something i can do to stop the nightmares but still take the albuterol?

My mother in law still smokes, but only about 8 cigs a day (oh she can barely make it out the door to smoke too, we make her smoke outside cause we dont want cancer) and after she smokes, she does her nebulizer. Will she develop pnuemonia by doing this?

She refuses to quit and is in hospice care, but I think she will get pnuemonia if she continues on her current path. Thoughts?
This poor lady can BARELY make it out of her room, but she is determined to take her last breathe with nicotine in it.

The condition is often worst after a meal. If I walk for few minutes, the chest tightens up, get pain up both arms and I have to stop or sit for few minutes. Afraid to ask the doctor. How bad is this situation. Note: some days, I am just fine and can walk for hours and climb stairs with no problem.

He was given 24 hours and he was conscious throughout that day and ultimately died on the same day. What would have been the cause. Why was the doctors not treating him? They were expecting something to block his heart after 24 hours and they were unable to prevent it? I am still unable to understand the cause of his death. Please someone enlighten me.

So my drains kept backing up in the bathroom and I got online to do some research for home remedies before paying buco bucks to have a plumber come out. Results were dishsoap + bleach + hot water = ferocious flush and no burping in the shower and sink. No one said anything about a sore throat, cough, and nausia. I laid in bed most of the day thinking I had a fever, and after having the windows open for a while, I started feeling better. I'm drinking lots of liquids, but I don't know if I should be scared of any lingering gases. I still don't feel well and I don't know if that's the problem.

I have been taking mucinex for the past 3 days in order to relieve some chest congestion. I've been a little dizzy and I've had a slight upset stomach, but no fever or anything like that.

could these be side effects of the medicine? and, if so, are there any others?

thank you for the help.

PLEASE help me - I met my ex-boygfriend of 8 years on the net, and we're getting on so well - apart from the fact that he snores really loudly, like the lion king - to make matters worse I have an OCD that cannot tolerate repetitive noises. He has been so good by trying the nasal strips, but they're not working.
Please help as I have finally found my soulmate, but last night I pushed him so hard that he nearly fell out of of bed and I was going to sleep on my own sofa bed in my own house!! Maybe someone can suggest something for my OCD - I don't know, but |I'm at breaking point, having a lively 3-year old as well - I need my sleep! Please help x

I constantly feel as if my vascular/circulatory system is malfunctioning, or not working well enough. I tire quite easily, little exertion causes my heart to race, and serious exercise causes me nausea, dizziness, and sometimes, vomiting. I feel my blood pumping through me in "shocks" or "waves" every minute or two, like it is struggling.

I also feel thirsty quite constantly.

I smoke and drink, but besides those two things, I don't have many bad things I do to myself. I am 20.

What could these things mean? I'm constantly uncomfortable because of them, and I fear they mean something worse will follow.

I have been coughing for 2 weeks now. On Tuesday (today is Sat) I went to the doctor and they told me I have bronchitis and gave me a 5 day antibiotic (Zithromax) and an inhaler (albuterol) Now Im done with the antibiotic and am still coughing quite a bit. I still get short of breath from moving around too fast, and my chest feels tight, but I am not in pain. What confuses me though is that sometimes it's like a wheezy kind of cough and sometimes it's a very congested-like cough where I will cough up phlegm (sorry for the gross detail) and sometimes I will go a few hours without coughing at all. What is going on? Should I go back to the doctor? I am not asthmatic, I am not a smoker,I am only 21 and have never really experienced anything like this before. Any advice/ideas would be greatly appreciated.

This is so disgusting, but i always had phlegm, flem, or how ever you spell it, [ im just guna spell it flem] but i always have it backed up in my throat, its so gross im constantly spitting it out.
My parents are yelling at me becuase i keep spitting. my mom says just to swollow it which is gross, but it keeps comming every single day.
Is that normal?
does anyone else have that problem?
does anyone know what it is?
