flem problem.?

Question

This is so disgusting, but i always had phlegm, flem, or how ever you spell it, [ im just guna spell it flem] but i always have it backed up in my throat, its so gross im constantly spitting it out.
My parents are yelling at me becuase i keep spitting. my mom says just to swollow it which is gross, but it keeps comming every single day.
Is that normal?
does anyone else have that problem?
does anyone know what it is?

You need to be seen by a doctor or allergist. You are having sinus drainage down the back of your throat at night while you are sleeping that is causing the phlegm to back up in your throat.

You really should not be swallowing it, unless you are somewhere you cannot use a tissue to remove it. Your body is trying to get rid of the infection in your sinus, you should be taking some sinus meds.

If you are in a cold climate and the heat is on in your home, you can use a humidifier to help balance the moisture in the air which will also help your sinuses.

Good luck, I hope you get this taken care of soon. Don't ever take up smoking cigarettes, it can make sinus problems much worse.

It is caused by allergies and it runs down the back of your throat when it drains out of the sinus cavities. see a doctor for allergy tests and meds.Or try OTC claritin or alavert and see if you get relief.
