n't seem to know or want to tell me what is really going on. My ? is how serious is this? he has been in the hospital since saturday and I just found out yesterday and she said that they wanted to keep him for a few more days

This is serious. If you can go to the hospital and talk to the Dr., so you can have correct answers. He will be glad to see you. Let him know you just found out or would have been there sooner. He probably won't be able to talk, they will have him on a respirator, unless he has gotten better.

Blood clots in your lungs are very serious but the Doctor's can give some kind of medicine, Plavix, and moniter him. Don't worry!

Untreated it would almost certainly be fatal, he is in the right place, they will clear the clots with medicine and keep your Dad until it is safe to go home.

If what she told you is true, it is a serious condition. See your Dad, and tell him that you love him, before it is too late. You'll always regret it if you don't.

if it is only few more days then sounds like he is on road to recovery, and will be home soon.
I use essential bath oils that are good for all kinds of ailments like these.
