My doctor says it's "irritable bowel syndrome". The nausea has been coming on more easily lately, not just when I'm unders stress. I do suffer from periodic insomnia and anemia. I exercise every day.

My son comes on the weekends. For awhile now, I've notice he's been blinking his eyes alot. It's not your normal blink of the eye, it's more like sqeezes them close, when he does this he also stretches his mouth. When I ask him why he does this he just simply says WHAT! He's 11years old. At first I thought it was just something he was doing, over time it seems when he has to concotrat is when he does this. Not when he reads just any time mostly when an adult talks to him. I've been told this could be bi-polor, or something else of that kinda nature. Please if any one knows anything about this, any help would be great! Taking him to a doctor is out of the question, he doesn't live with me, and he dad refuses to see this could be a problem. Please any help, advise I would be greatful! Thanks!

My mom was hospitalized in January with pneumonia, upon her stay at the hospital she contracted a staph infection. Within a few weeks of leaving the hospital she began having pain all through her body. About a month later when she finally got into the doctor, they ran some tests and discovered that she has rheumatoid arthritis. It just seems strange that she never had symptoms prior to being at the hospital, and now she's hurting all over every day. I'm afraid that it could've been a misdiagnosis, as she is cared for by the VA and they missed my stepdads non hodgekins lymphoma (which thank god was caught at another hospital, thanks to his persistance ) I'm just curious if there are any other conditions that could have been overlooked, or If there are any treatments herbal remedies or anything she can try. I feel so bad for her cause shes active and can't do things that she wants to do. She also is experiencing anxiety attacks from the stress. Any help would be awesome! Thanks!

I went to see a gastroenterologist who suspected I had an ulcer. He performed an endoscopy and found nothing. He's now recommending an abdominal ultrasound because his next guess is that my problems stem from my gallbladder. I've already had a CT scan which showed nothing. So what is the ultrasound going to show that the CT scan didn't?

It was like that for a couple days, I think my mascara might have irritated it. Well, like a complete dummy, I kept putting my contacts in and wearing mascara for one more day, and this morning I had a hard time opening my eye, and there were a bunch of yellow crusties in the outer corner of my eye. It looks like the vessels in my eyes are all red and irritated. What's wrong with my eye?

Please don't tell me I have pink eye, unless you are sure I really do. Because I can't afford to go to the doctor, I have no insurance... :(
I'm 23, female. Oh yeah and sometimes I touch my dirty hand to my eye... I'm a cashier. I know I'm dumb, sorry.

I mean, I have eye allergy, and I look awful. My face goes all puffy, and leads, and the leads overlap the eye, and then when after the medicine it started to drop, one cheek and eye is better than the other and I simply look ridiculous.
And at the clinic which I attend there are people with other eye
diseases, and theirs are dignified, because their faces are not puffy, and they are wearing bandages, so while everyone feels sorry for them, I am a target for ridicule.
And it's not if I did something or lead the life which led me to
this. I am allergic to all the dust, and all the small bugs and creatures that lives in it, that is why I look like this.
So, why are some illnesses make people ridiculous, and some - like martyrs, though the origin of the illness does not even depend on us?

I haven't visited a doctor since I was a child, so I'm clueless about all things doctor-related. I was wondering if anyone knows how long a doctor's appointment usually is, because I am trying to work out if I need to book a double appointment or if one will be sufficient!
