not sure of it dangering careers but I also dont think there is a cure for it...my mum woke up one morning with the same conditions.
In some people it stays like that for the rest of their lives but usually you return back to usual in 8-10weeks(my mum did).
Your GP should be able to advise you of what may help...

yes, it will lead to danger.

Bell's palsy is a neurological disorder caused by damage to the seventh cranial nerve, also known as the facial nerve, which results in weakness or paralysis on one side of the face. The paralysis causes distortion of facial features and interferes with normal functions, such as closing the eye and eating.

The onset of Bell's palsy is usually sudden. Many people wake up in the morning and find that one side of their face is paralyzed. Patients often fear that they have suffered a stroke, but Bell's palsy is not related to stroke. Milder symptoms include tingling around the lips or a dry eye, and usually progress quickly, reaching maximum severity in 48 hours or less

Incidence and Prevalence

Bell's palsy affects about 40,000 people in the United States every year. It affects approximately 1 person in 65 during a lifetime. It is more commonly seen in young adults, and persons of Japanese descent have a slightly higher incidence of the condition. Bell's palsy is the most common cause of facial paralysis worldwide and one of the most common neurological disorders involving a cranial nerve.

Causes

Viral infections such as herpes, mumps, or HIV, and bacterial infections such as Lyme disease or tuberculosis can cause inflammation and swelling of the facial nerve that causes Bell's palsy. A tumor, skull fracture, or neurological condition caused by chronic disease (e.g., diabetes, Guillain-Barre syndrome) can also lead to Bell's palsy.

Risk Factors

Conditions that compromise the immune system, such as HIV, increase the risk for Bell's palsy. Stress, pregnancy, and diabetes are also risk factors. Diabetics are more than 4 times as likely to develop the disorder compared to the general population.

The great news is that bells palsy is usually temporary. Did your doctor recommend any therapy? As embarrassing as it may be, the more you use your muscles the sooner you will get better. That means talk as much as you can and smile and blink your eyes. Apparently, bells palsy is stress related. Try to take steps to reduce stress. You may want to ask your doctor about taking anti anxiety meds.

This usually happens on one side of the face only. It is something that your doctor should investigate since a stroke causes some of the same symptoms.... see a doctor right away. If Bells is diagnosed, you should take an anti-viral med, plus some steroids, it should clear up in 2 or 3 weeks. Keep the eye covered at night and put eye drops in every 3 or 4 hours to keep your eye moist.

Bells Palsy can be either a virus or a form of a stroke. The medical profession offers nothing for recovery. My husband is taking a form of phytonutrients, flavenoids and polysaccharides which go to work on all auto-immune deficiencies. His face used to really look paralyzed when he was cold, but now it has completely returned to normal. This formula removes free radicals, bacteria, inflammation, fungus and yeast from the blood making it alkaline. An acidic body is a sick body. We have found this to be most effective.

a diagnosed bells palsy will definitely recover over a period and never endanger ur career
meet an ENT specialist to rule out other causes of facial nerve palsies
physiotherapy by stretching face muscles and massage of face muscles is recommended
if u have a problem in closing ur eye u ought to take sp precautions

My sister practices an ancient form of eastern medicine similar to acupuncture without needles. On her bell's palsy patient, who had already been to an MD, DO, and chiropractor with not success, she achieved 90% improvement in the patient's symptoms.

I don't want to post her e-mail here, but if you'll e-mail me, I'll give it back to you. She lives in TX, but she may be able to guide you as to what to do by yourself.
