I read that it takes 6 hours to 72hours for salmonella poisoning to show, but is there a way the doctor can check before then? I'm asking because my husband was cooking chicken and my daughter (who's 1½) reached on the counter and grabbed a piece and licked it when he wasnt watching. he took it from her and told me what she did, so i flushed her mouth out and washed her hands vigarously with antibacterial soap. I am wondering because I'm scared and I dont know if I should go to the ER or wait til I see the symptoms.
Let me say I AM NOT a bad mother, nor my husband a bad father. Mistakes do happen and my daughter has just now started reaching up.
I NEED SERIOUS ANSWERS ONLY!
thanks

My husband had a seizure in 1979 and was put on Dilantin I have been told... see we are newly weds and on our honeymoon return from Hawaii 6 months after a doctor told him to stop taking it he had multiple seizures. The hospital diagnosed it as a stoke. My husband went int a coma and they said every organ in his body stop and life support sustained his life. They tried to get me to let them pull the plug but I was stubburn and flat out refused. After 3 month of them trying to rid themselves of him and I they found that he was responding to only me, which I had tried to tell them and they would not listen, he was sent to a rehab miles away from that hospital and our home. He could not do for him self he was a new born baby all over again and had to learn it all. .....to be continued... (no more characters available)

My daughter was born 3/10/05. On 3/24/05 I became extremely ill. It turns out, I had peritonitis, which is a potentially fatal infection of the peritonial cavity. I required major sugery and it was a HORRIBLE experience. Usually this infection is a result of a tear in an intestine, ruptured organ (like apendix), or a knicked bowel during surgery.

My birth was non-surgical, my labor was normal. I was just wondering if there is anyone else in the world who had this happen to them???? I've never met anyone and never even been able to find a case on the internet! Anyone??

I think I suffer from hyponatremia, because the last few months I have been drinking 13 bottles of water a day. Which is .5 liters a bottle. I am suffering from confusion and hypoglycemia. Sometimes I would drink 6 bottles at one time and later on some more to add up to be 13. Help me please, I didn't know it was gonna be intoxicated. I always heard people telling me water is good so drink it. So then I believe. But now I suffer the consequences. I guess I got over obbessed with it. Please help I don't want to feel like this. I feel dizzy and light headed. I want to be normal again......... Thanks for helping out.

My grandmother has no blood flow in her legs and has dry gangrane on them. Her feet were purple but they gave her a medication and turned red. She is in the hospital and one of her fingers is dead. They told her they were going to test more on her because for some reason she can walk. What are the chances that they wont amputate her feet? Also, she's diabetic.

My lower right side has been hurting lately. It usually lasts for about 15 minutes, then the pain will go away and won't come back for maybe a day. I've been feeling nauseous and I'm bloated. Could it be appendicitis?
