ativan is not good for you. It's addictive and you will quickly develop a tolerance and need more of it to achieve the same effect.

Try to find some other way to deal with it.

I've been round and round with the lot of them - tranzene, xanax, valium, ativan.

A junkie by any other name.....

e-mail me if you want. I'll tell you what I know.

I hate to tell you this, but I have been suffering from GAD (general anxiety disorder) for 19 years. For some people it is a temporary thing and it eventually fades away, but for others it doesn't seem to. Hopefully in your case it will. I go through periods when I have little or no anxiety. Sometimes these last for months or even a year. Unfortunately it always returns though. I have tried sooo many medicines over the years looking for the "miracle cure". Sadly I have never found it. Xanax helps me more than anything else ever has.

I know a couple of great websites that offer alot of information and can answer alot of the questions you probably have. Also I am a member of an awesome online support group. (24 hour live chat) everyone in there has this disorder so they are sympathetic and truly understand how you feel. This is a free program too. If you are interested in more info on this please feel free to email me though my user profile on here and I will be glad to share. Also I have messenger if you ever want to chat or ask questions. Best of luck to you!!!

Yes. But you probably need more than just medication. Seeing a good counselor or psychiatrist will teach you ways to "cope" with anxiety. Learning meditation, daily exercise, good diet and proper sleep also helps. It also is a good idea to be honest with yourself and never take on more responsibility or tasks than you can handle for now. Take care of yourself.

If you are talking about anxiety attacks then the answer is yes, eventually it will go away but you may have to try several meds.
My son has severe attacks and he only gets help from Effexor, he has tried about 6 medicines.

Yes, it will eventually go away if you follow the doctor's orders and take your prescription every day. If one prescription doesn't work for you in about two weeks time, go back to the doctor and try something else. I had to try several and finally I feel human again.
