Easing the pain of a sore throat
* Take acetaminophen, ibuprofen or naproxen.
* Gargle with warm salt water (1 teaspoon of salt per glass of water).
* Suck on throat lozenges or hard candy.
* Suck on flavored frozen desserts (such as Popsicles).
* Use a humidifier in your bedroom or other rooms you spend lots of time in.
* Drink lots of liquids.

Warm salty water gargles, several times a day. If you like coffee or hot tea, sipping on it during the day will help. As far as OTC medications, Halls cough drops, Chloraseptic spray are about the best two out there. Monday, go see your doctor to make sure it isn't strep.

try garggling a tablespoon of salt with a cup of warm water. As for medicines try vicks chloraseptic spray it works really good for sore throats. Feel better:)

Gargle with Apple Cider Vinegar and water three times a day. This will help with some of the pain and heal you up faster.
Yeah its tough to start with, but you'll thank me later

If you do smoke, smoke something small with menthol. It won't be quite as hard on your throat. Whenever I have croup, I smoke Camel Crush, because it seems to help relieve some of the swelling in my throat.

first take some sips of water then take about a tablespoon of honey and let it go down your throat the honey should taste sticky but it helps a lot and if the water did not help use orange juice

Weird as it sounds ........... a tablespoon of vinegar.
My uncle who hates doctors and uses all home remedies and herbal meds swears it would work - husband tried it and dang it really worked for him.
Take at your own risk - it can take your breath away if you aren't used to vinegar.

Then mix tea honey lemeon and a shot of whiskey. works for me
