I got a bad cold, and wasn't kissing my girlfriend, but she was around and very close, so she contracted the cold a few days later. Is it a bad idea to kiss her, even though we have the same virus? Or does it matter now that we're both infected already?

I cant find the ques no longer since my computer rebooted, but to whom ever it was that said getting a tatoo would result in Hep C and end result of Hep C is HIV..check on that would ya..Hep C does not develop into HIV. The only way you get HIV is to come in contact with the HIV virus. It doesnt sudenly turn into HIV from Hep C. Yes you may get Hep C from getting a tatoo but highly unlikely in a professional tatoo shop.

I always thought that colds and flus where viral/bacterial in nature so why do people get more colds and flus during winter? Surely, these would be more prolific during the summer months where hot humid weather would help them to survive? What part does the cold weather play in increasing the occurance of these bugs?

I have just observed that whenever my family come home from Baguio, a cold place in the Philippines (in fact the summer capital of our country) almost all of us cath a common colds. Is it because the weather in our place is hot? Does the change in temperature or weather (form cold to hot and vice-versa) cause common colds?

I had chicken pox when I was young so I am unable to get them again, but I know the virus stays with you and can later turn into shingles in some people. What I need to know is if exposure to chicken pox can cause an outbreak of shingles. I have a compromised immune system due to a neurological disease so my chances of getting shingles are increased. I have found information saying that exposure to shingles can cause chicken pox, but I can not find anything saying if it works the other way as well. Any serious info is greatly appreciated!

Well, my school is offering free vaccines for bacterial meningitis. And my family is forcing me too. But I might not be able to have it if it contains ANY pseudoephedrine. I'm deathly allergic to it. If I take Benadryl I would have a heart attack. Can someone answer if there are any side affects or if there is any pseudoephedrine in it?
