For another major slate-wiper virus to reduce the over population? I thought AIDs was gonna do it, but we went and created drugs to fight it. What do you think, Flu like 1918 or something worse like Capt. Tripps.

I don't want to take antibiotics every time I have a UTI, because they cause yeast infections...a painful double whammy. How can I treat & prevent UTI's in the future? I do know how to wipe myself after I "go"--so that's not the problem. How can I resort to condom use everytime with my husband? Not practical for me.

Of course, I realize that a fever is a sign of an infection. But my question is this: Is the fever itself a defense, or is it just a side-effect of another defense? If the former, then that would seem to imply that most bacteria/virrii live and multiply in a very narrow range of temperatures. That, in fact, changing their envronment by 1 or 2 degrees has a significant effect upon their health. If this is the case, reducing your fever would be counterproductive, unless the temperature itself reaches dangerous levels.

I had meningitis when I was (5 months) pregnant with my second child. All came out fine, myself, my daughter (she's now 17 yrs). Any knowledge of any residual effects that my having meningitis might have had on me? I'm only asking because a person just posted an answer to an I.Q. question here a moment ago. Any insights ?

I've had a strange throat for a few days, I feel a bit sick and dizzy, my temperature has gone up now and I'm getting strange looking spots - my head hurts and I ache ...
I've had chicked pox and measles, so it's not that ... what could it be, and will I be ill right through Christmas??? :(
