All day I have been trying to convince myself that I'm not ill, but I think I am!
I've had a strange throat for a few days, I feel a bit sick and dizzy, my temperature has gone up now and I'm getting strange looking spots - my head hurts and I ache ...
I've had chicked pox and measles, so it's not that ... what could it be, and will I be ill right through Christmas??? :(

Most of that might be something you could live with temporarily, like the onset of a cold, but the "strange spots" - I assume you mean on your skin - you should get checked out. That's over and beyond the average "coming down with something" condition. See a doc.

TJ is right. You are certainly "coming down with something" but the appearence of strange spots indicates that it is probably something more severe and rare than cold of flu, GET TO A DOCTOR RIGHT AWAY, don't try to diagnose it with a bunch of idiots on the internet of whom very few actually know what they are talking about.
That said, here are my guesses based on your symptoms:
Maybe Typhus, Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever or Rubella. I hope you've been vaccinated against Rubella, but any of these 3 can be deadly, see a doctor ASAP.
It could also be things like leukemia (a cancer), Foot and Mouth disease, Thrombocytopenia, or Rubella (If you haven't been vaccinated). It is just impossible to diagnose you over the internet, it could be any number of things from very serious and life threatening to completely harmless, but get to a doctor immediately and find out.

Doesn't matter if you've had the chicken pox B 4. Check for Shingles. Good Luck
