Hm so I had a bad case of stomach flu that improved significantly 2 days ago. Last night I made out with a man. Today he tells me he has stomach flu. Is he bs-ing me, or is it possible he got it from me?

He gave me oral sex.

I thought you could only get stomach flu from contaminated food.

Contaminated food is food poisoning not stomach flu. Stomach flu is viral, and yes it can be transmitted through body fluids.

I would say the stakes are pretty high that he caught it from you, but he could have also gotten it anywhere at this time of year. The flu can be passed through saliva and also just being in the same room as somebody who has it...you can get it from touching infected items like doorknobs even...I believe within 1-4 days people can come down with symptoms of the flu...it is a viral infection so they spread very easily...hope this site helps you out some too...

no no no, all these other answers are in relation to the regular flu, influenza. You can't spread stomach flu (caled norovirus, look it up) through kissing or bodily fluids. It's spread from fecal-oral route only. Either you had some germs down there, or germs in your mouth. People who had stomach flu (norovirus) are contagious for up to a week after they get better as well.

Yes you can transmit the flu by kissing. But if he already has symptoms it's not from you. The virus has to"incubate" for a while. Usually 7 to 10 days. So if he's sick it's not from one night ago.

From kissing as saliva is transfered. You may be contagious for a week after the flu.

You can most certainly get the flu from kissing. You don't get it from oral sex. You also don't get the flu from food, that is food poisening.
