I have a heart murmur. Pulmonary Stenosis to be exact. I was wondering if I can go on Rollercoaster or can't. My parents always told me I shoudln't but I've never heard a doctor tell me I can't. I have no idea. So, I was wondering if any of you can help me out here. Can I ever go on a rollercoaster? If I can't, then why? And what would happen if I did?

Remember I have a Heart Murmur.... Pulmonary Stenosis.

Im just wondering how much recovery is required after a catheter ablation. Im having one done for Supraventricular tachycardia. When can I go back to my normal activities such as work and volunteering as an EMT and school? Am I going to be sore after the procedure? Will I be resting the next couple days or the next couple weeks? I really wanna know. I am only 18 and I dont want to be bed ridden.

I have been suffering from shortness of breath for 3 years, which got slowly worse. It was always explained with a worsening of the asthma, and with being about 40-50kg overweight.X-rays showed nothing unusual. 10 days ago,I went to the hospital,in thailand, where I currently live, because shortness of breath worsened. My x-rays showed water on the lungs, an enlarged heart. after 2 days in hospital , my condition improved a lot and I was sent home, with lots of medicine and an appointment for 12 days later. the doctor was very pleased with my speedy recovery, said I had a good costituition.he said, that he can make me better within 6 month.
My main problem is communication.Doctor speaks some english. I like the hospital. very caring, private hospital, 1st world standards or nearly.Doctor very dedicated and caring. I would like to live as long as possible, with an improvement in quality of life.I am motivated. Any info, opinions, suggestions welcome.I am financially independent. thanks

Some of you are thinking I am confused about The Medications my Son recieved at the Hospital. I know this the Hospital medical records say he was given Morphine for pain and My son took 2 hits in 20 minutes. He had an allergic reaction to the Morphine the Doctor ordered Narcan My sons heart rate went up to 200 and above. the Doctor ordered another medication to slow the heart rate down. an hour after that My Son Died. That I have in writing. If what you all say is true that Narcan doesn't reverse the effects of Morphine. The that tells me My Son was given the Wrong Medication. Am I Correct?

I still have some pretty wild palpitations, so I havent had an alcoholic beverage for over a year. Not a big deal, but occasionally, friends would like for me to go out on the town with them. Will it make my palpitations worse?
I had the ablation because of AV node re-entry.

Five months ago today my precious dad died at 65.5 years old. He told me a few days before, "I don't think I have much longer to live." I hugged him, singing, "No, papa, you're going to live; It's too soon to ever say goodbye." I said, "You're supposed to say, "Forbid me now to die, I'll obey, I will try...But you didn't like the second act, did you?" "No," he said, "It should've ended on the barricades."
The last day he lived. he went out to golf, but came right back. We went to the pool and had many wonderful conversations, he made us his speciality, pizza, asked if it was the best ever, and my kids said YES! One son spontaneously sang dad a folk tune dad'd taught me -Drink all the water you can hold, wash your face and soothe your feet, but leave the bottle full for others... We also played a fav game of the kids. He made our last visit perfect in every way... My question, if he knew, why didn't he get to ER? What does it mean that some men know they're going to die?

When the federal government subsidizes tabacco farmers AND both federal & state governemnts profit, even now, from taxing tobacco products, which, the government readily admits, kills people? Double standard ?
