From time to time I can feel my heartbeat really hard for a few beats. Is this a bad thing or am I just paranoid. If it's bad, what can I do the next time it happens.
Also a friend has told me I breathe too heavy and I get out of breath too easily that may be a symptom of a heart condition. Is that true?

I'm uninsured and can only afford to go to the doctor at the health department and he doesn't care about the patients, just the paycheck. He doesn't do the necessary checking, I think he just guesses. He has misdiagnosed me more than once.

I have sudden intermittent weakness in both my legs at the same time. I have a need to sit for fear that my legs will give out. I have never remained standing to see if that would be the outcome. This does not last very long however but it is occuring more often as of late. Any help you could give me with this would be greatly appreciated. Thank You, codcares

I had to get a turbuculosis shot for my school. Well I had a reaction to it, and the school said any one that has a reaction may have turbuculosis so it was required to get an Xray...Well I was living about 10 minutes away from the Texas/Mexico border at the time and didn't have much cash to get the Xray. But I HAD to get it or else they weren't going to let me back into class. So I had it done in Mexico. The doctor over there didn't speak very much English, but he said that my heart is enlarged and that I need to get to a cardiologist as soon as possible. I have no medical insurance? How worried about this do I need to be? What could this "enlarged heart" mean? And how much is all this going to cost me?

My doc is unavailable for 2 more days; my only feeling is an intermittent headache. We had been weaning the Norvasc after I experienced pretty significant pedal edema when we doubled from 10 to 20 mg daily of the Norvasc. When we started the wean, she added Cardizem. Other than the standard disclaimer about not abruptly stopping medication, is there something specific I should be looking for? We have been travelling due to some family emergencies, and that is why I ran out.

I have sleep apnea and diabetes which doctor said will get better with weight loss, I have start of emphazima, high cholestrol. The pills I have taken are lasiks 120mg a day for two weeks now, percocete for pain and vicodin, I have taken provigil to stay awake, and I have two inhalers I take daily. Anyone with any suggetions or advice or clues to what this might be. thank you all so much.

Not all the time but I get a burning sensation down my arm and into my hand, plus I have pressure between my right breast and right shoulder. I get dizzy when this happens. It lasts about 30-40 minutes. I had a few days ago and went to Emergency as it felt like a heartache but my heart was fine. I have to see a Neurosurgeon in Jan but at Emergency they didn't get to see my symptoms as by the time I got there the symptoms had stopped. For about 3 months I have add minor attacks that last about 1 second with the same symptoms. I call them my "Zaps". They have no idea what they are. I am just wondering if anyone else has these symptoms. My blood pressure is usually very low 99/60 and when I get to the hospital it is usually 143 and pulse 126. Not high by their standards but high for me. Thanks everyone.

I'm 34 (6'4" and around 280lb) and have had moderately high blood pressure since I was 18 years old. Always in the same range 145-165/90-100. Over that time, I've tried 5 different meds, gained and lost weight - exercised and not exercised, dieted and not dieted. It doesn't get any better or worse no matter what I do and no matter what I try. Is there a possibility that my BP is just high and there is nothing I can do about it? Also, could this be something as simple as cutting out caffeine or something else in my diet that I'm not thinking of?
