From time to time I can feel my heartbeat really hard for a few beats. Is this a bad thing or am I just paranoid. If it's bad, what can I do the next time it happens.
Also a friend has told me I breathe too heavy and I get out of breath too easily that may be a symptom of a heart condition. Is that true?

I'm uninsured and can only afford to go to the doctor at the health department and he doesn't care about the patients, just the paycheck. He doesn't do the necessary checking, I think he just guesses. He has misdiagnosed me more than once.

Sounds like panic attack to me. Same thing happened to me. Brought on by stress although I didn't feel stressed. I fyou don't deal with stress properly or productively, then your body will in its own way

As an RN I can tell you, shortness of breath can be a symptom of a heart condition but not necessarily. I realize no insurance is a problem. But you could find another doc or an Urgent Care/Ready Care type of place. Even if you get billed, you could pay a small amount every month like 10-20 dollars. They wouldn't be able to sent it to a credit bureau as technically you are paying on it. Have you gone to an FIA office? They could help find minimal insurance or cheaper insurance. Hope this helps. If it continues and you are worried, seek out another doctor. You don't want to mess around with your health. Hope this helps.

If I were you, I would get a second opinion fast.
But, first and foremost, find an insurance plan
with premiums you can afford to live with!
The Internet is the best (and quickest way) to
find that sort of information.
Hey... they don't call it the "Information Super
Highway" for nothing!

Best of health & luck.

The palpitations and shortness of breath should be seen----the RN above gave good advice.
