This sounds more like a reaction to the anesthetic than a true health problem. At least from the information you listed.
Did your doctor tell you you have a heart problem?
If not it was a reaction to the surgery.
My wife is a nurse who cares for a variety of patients. She says she hopes you had all of your female parts removed to eliminate the chance of cancer spreading.
All you can do now is take lots of time with your children and teach them to be the best people they can be. That way if you leave them they will have had a good foundation to help them live a good life as adults. If you can afford it, buy some more life insurance to help them in case you die. We have annuities that we can collect even if we live to be old!
Good luck.........

It seems you have only a very rudimentary understanding of what happened and why. It is unlikely that your heart suddenly stopped. More likely is that your heart went into a dangerous rhythm (in medical circles known as a "sudden death episode") that did not allow you to remain hemodynamically stable (blood pressure to remain steady and blood continue to be pumped to the rest of your body). The question is why did your heart go into that rhythm? And what is the probability that it would do so again? Depending on what happened and why, certain medications and/or treatments could be employed to ensure this does not happen again - giving you a sense of relief that the matter has been addressed.
You need to discuss the matter with your primary physician. Call him/her stating why you want to the appointment. This will give his office a chance to collect the records from the hospital so he can be informed when he speaks to you. He/she can then refer you to specialists if warranted to have you further evaluated - this evaluation may very well have already occurred while you were in the hospital.
Good luck.

I do understand it is scary. Been there done that. Got the t shirt.
Try to relax about it a little bit. IF you do have a heart problem, stress could cause more problems.
Get complete cardo workup. Follow doctor's instructions. Keep up good work.
It should be alright. Best of luck

It probably has nothing to do with your diet, but do continue to eat healthy.
Sometimes anesthesia affects people differently. Make sure if you ever have surgery again, that the doctor is aware of this last experience. They might approach things differently.

the kind of thing that happened to you in the hospital is caused by the stress of operations and having a weak immune system. since the doctors saw fit to send you home to your family and you haven't been told (as far as i know) to lessen your work outs or take it easy since your episode then i am going to say you should be fine. many people have problems while on the table. you never know it may have had nothing to do with you and everything to do with the anesthesiologist...

Have a complete Cardiac work up done. If that comes back clear I would question the medications they gave you for sedation. You may have had a serious reaction. God Bless!

my husband died on the table last year, they thankfully revivied him.
it was an alergic reaction to the anestheic
you need to make sure that its written in your health notes, and get a medic alert charm to wear.
