since Nov.06 I began to swell with severe edema from ankles up to thighs, liver has severe ascites now. I can no longer walk freely or flex legs to wear pants or climb stairs. I am in severe torment from edema. Torsemide did nothng, Zaraxylyn gave some diuresis but my edema is truly unchanged no matter what drugs I take. Plus, I have toxicity limits due to fevers and nausea & dizziness from drugs.
MY relative faraway, an MD says that .25 mg digoxin daily will clear away this entrenched hard edema. But MY heart attack which started my illness was so MASSIVE - large infarction & scarring in "
EVERY WALL OF the heart. M yEjection fraction is 50%. I have severe reduced both left & right ventricular dysfunction. Seems to me that digoxin might give a boost to a mildly damaged heart, but not one as damaged as mine. I seem also to have poor response to diuretics, since blood perfusion to kidneys is impaired , Do you feel that digoxin can compensate for massive heart damage?

5I had a tipple by-pass when 59 Years old for a heart attack. I am now 68 years old. My Father died of a hear attack when he was 41 and is brother dropped dead from a heart attack at 27

When I am just sitting down reading or looking at T.V. I some times have jaw pain that is extremely painful it happens on both sides of my jaw at the same time. I have woke up in the middle of the night with it. I take Nitro for the pain. My other systems that I have had is getting extremely hot breaking in to a sweat. One time I woke up gasping for air. About a month ago I was sitting down and my right arm and the right side of my face when completing num. This all lasting for no more that 10 seconds. I thought that I was having a stroke but the doctors said no That it was to short of time for a TIA. I never have trouble when I am exercise or cutting the lawn. This all happens when I am at rest. The only thing that I do know is that I have one blockage that is at 50 percent.

I saw a world-renowed heart surgeon on tv that was at least 50 pds overweight. With all the damage weight does to a body and seeing it first-hand, it boggles my mind that anyone in the medical world can be any amount overweight, yet I see it quite often. Plus, I'm not sure I would completely trust a Dr. that was so overweight.

One is 38 years old and does not smoke but is 40 pounds overweight. The other is 44 years old, is skinny and smokes a pack a day. Based on their being related, with genetics and everything else being equal, who is more likely to suffer a heart attack first? Neither one of them exercise regularly.

I'm 6'2" and weigh 114kg, the results that I managed to remember were 169/94 and 154/94. I'll be going in for a recheck in two weeks time. Would this explain why I've been having palpatations and skipped beats? I don't drink, smoke or do drugs, and no familiy history so why do I have it?
I remember when I was young and fit, I never had a problem and now all this is happening and the only thing that changed since then was my weight.
