I am a victim of severe edema of CHF post MASSIVE MI. Diuretics have NOT reduced my liver distended with water, nor my ankles to thighs bursting with water pressure in my tissues. (I have severely reduced left ventricular systolic function, & global hypokinesis) per radiologists , my Ejection fraction is 50%. I won't enter hospital since I am alone, uninsured, & they have no definite sure result to offer me but daily IV diuretics. Zaroxylyn has only a slight diuretic effect on me - but the water trapped in my ankles to thighs & liver is unaffected by drugs. So TELL ME - how does the severe EDEMA develop to begin with? & HOW can the diuretics draw out the water trapped in those areas? Or is this water affected at all by diuretics?
I begin to feel that the edema buildup in tissues is unaffected by drugs. AFter months of toxic drugs, I am not one bit less swollen with water & in pain from inner pressure. Can't flex my legs to wear a pants, climb a step. I'm unable to walk. Explain

My upper arms were blue/grey from elbow to shoulder, like a bruise, and the veins in my hands and upper body were pronounced and my hands appeared to have dark grey bruising across the veins also. It began to dissappear the next day and I felt fine, dull headache 2 days later...
What should I do? No pain, no other symptoms, I tood aspirin out of fear. I have a family history of stroke and I'm 45.

is it normal for a stent to collapse in 45 days of being put in or was the surgery a mess up? I awoke during the surgery because of a huge pain i had felt in my hip area. and pulled my self up on the bed felling the tools being pulled down from my chest. it was very painfull and afterwords i barely could walk. The hospital made me walk out on my own . It was nearly imposible. I fell that if the stent was done correctly this should have never happened.

One of my friend, a 38 year old female has a problem since two years of having a sudden pain in the chest on the left side, where she feels sharp needles like pain. Ir comes and goes fast. Since the last two weeks it has been there continously. Before that she was having back pain also which shifted from left to right and then was gone. Now she thinks that this pain in the chest is related to that back pain, but I think it is an early symtoms of heart problem. Please keep in mind that her father also has heart problem. Can you please share your views?

I was there for 3 days and I believe I took every test for heart conditions that they had to offer in my case. The general staff and care was great and I walked away from the hospital with good test results. For my age and weight they said my physical heart was good but to keep on my blood pressure medication. I kept telling them about the pressure in my neck but they did nothing about it.
I went home with it and I still have it as I'm writing this "question". I feel that my problem is that I have a thin lining in my neck artery. I think it is going to burst on me anytime. I'm scared and I wanted to know if any of you have ever had something like this or knew someone who has? If so, can you tell me your educated guess as to what it may be and what I can do about it. I have excellent insurance coverage and the hospital is known for excellence in heart health care. I am confused and at a loss as to what do do because the last thing they gave me was a prescription for nitro.
