Are you referring to hypotension leading to syncope? (passing out?) The hot water in the tub serves as a vaso dilator and causes your blood pressure to drop too fast and you briefly pass out, and your pressure returns to normal.

I THINK this is what you were asking - but I'm not sure

Hot tubs and saunas — if not misused — pose no risk to healthy people. People with high blood pressure who have no symptoms should tolerate saunas well. The relaxing of the blood vessels associated with the heat is about the same as from a brisk walk and it opens up or relaxes the blood vessels
. Any active symptoms such as chest pain or shortness of breath that would cause a person to avoid moderate exercise would also be a reason to avoid a hot tub or sauna.

Blood pressure is caused by the normal pumping action of your heart. Hot tubs affect blood pressure because the heat causes your vessels to dilate (get bigger), so the pressure goes down and you get light headed.

both of these answers are correct. dilation of the blood vessels occur (opening them up) which causes the blood to flow more easily through your vessels.
