I have heard of people that were clinically dead and were successfully resitated, and recovered and said they definetly heard people talking when they were clinically 'dead'. They repeated specific things that they had to have heard. And, I've always heard that hearing 'is the last sense' that people loose, so in hospitals, they try to talk as if the patient can hear them.
