Just curious b/c I have been perinoid about getting cancer. Which is way not like me. I am not scared of a lot of things and for a person like me to actually think I might have a cancer is pretty weird.

Mom was diagnosed in April. Stomach cancer too advanced to cure. She had chemo two weeks ago but she doesn't want any more as it has made her feel really tired. It has spread to her liver. I've asked a doctor and Macmillan nurse how long she has left but they refuse to tell me. I know it's hard to say because everyone's different but I just want to know how long she's got.

If you are a cancer surviver, please list how you survived it. What tips would you give to other people who are fighting the condition? What advise would you give to others who are struggling to come to terms with their condition or just need someone to talk to?

Cancer probably involve abnormal growth of cells. Some viruses such as causing AIDS tends to eliminate certain cells. I just wonder if it could be possible to regulate abnormal cell growth by exposing them to virus of suitable type.

My father-in-law had his last kidney taken out on June 6, 2006. He has not recovered from this surgery. He is still in the hospital and is not doing well at all. He is out of his mind and does not know any of us. Well, he comes and goes with knowing people. They have ran lots of test on him and have found NOTHING... We don't know if his body has went into shock from haveing no kidneys or if he is not going to be one that can do the dialysis.

In one case, there is one billion dollars. In another, there is a vial with the cure for cancer. Your mother has cancer. Would you take the one billion dollars which you would split with you mother or take the one with the vial which can cure her? Be honest!

Do you think that a wealthy publically-traded cancer research center with thousands of employees would want to find cheap or natural cures for cancers? If they did, they would certainly go bankrupt and many many people would loose their high paying jobs. Right? It's been proven time and time again (like Enron) that many big-shot execs/CEO's will screw people over just to make a buck. Do you think this could be the case with Cancer research? I really smell a rat here. Or is it just my imagination?
