I know of 12 people close to me that are dying of cancer right now...

Yes it seems so. I asked a question online here about a friend who has cancer. And I got an answer from someone with "no brain/heart disease". He/it goes by the name of .......... " gotalotofmanstick". If you ask me (his answer of "whatever" to my question shows he has no "brain/heart" in his body. Yes there are millions dying with cancer. I have lost more than 15 family and friends to this disease. I am soon to lose a good friend to cancer as well. I have helped care for many of these people as well. And it takes a lot out of you emotionally, physically, finacially, and more. Unlike the jerk who pretended to answer a question, It matters to me that you must feel so burdened by so many who have such a devastating disease. I will add them to my prayer list for healing. Please take heart in knowing that if the disease takes any or all of them, that they will immediately be cured of it. And not only that, they will be restored to better than their former health. Heart attack is the other monster in my circle of friends; and I have lost many to it as well. God bless you and those you know who are so sick with cancer. May He give you strength to help them through such a trying time in their lives as well as yours.

Cancer is the number 2 cause of death in western civilization (close behind heart disease at number 1). The incidence of cancer and mortality from cancer is rising dramatically.
Unlike heart disease, where the health care system is focused on acute treatment and prevention, the medical system does not focus on the prevention of cancer.
Leading medical researchers now believe that the only rational approach to the cancer epidemic is to begin focusing more research, more medical efforts and more public education on prevention. Sadly, most doctors know nothing about the cancer process (carcinogenesis) and little about cancer prevention.

Cancer is the second leading cause of death in the US after heart disease. The reason for this is quite simple, cancer is a disease of age and as our populations keeps on aging, the chances of developing cancer increases.
My guess is that most of the people that you know have cancer are older (over 55). However, the incidence of cancer is starting to increase also in "younger" (30-40) people due lifestyle. With over 55% of the population being obese, the chances of getting cancer increases, significantly. Being fat is just as bad as smoking, some people will agree that it's actually worse.

yes, there are a lot more people dying of cancer. water and air pollution is one big factor. the different chemicals that go into our food to preserve it is another factor. smoking has increased. the fact that people are living longer is another factor why people are dying of cancer. in other words medicine has made great advances in prolonging life. so now you can live long enough to get cancer.

Yes around here seem;s that way.There's 2 thing's,cancer and drug's.I think the drug situation has killed 16 in the last 2yrs all of whom I know,the one's that are left are dying with cancer.This is so sad.

hell yea i have a mass i nned remved but i thik it comes out when you get weak like i havent drank milk for like ten years and i went to the hospital for calcium deficiency so i think we forget to eat well and the cells get a mind of there own

yes - more people seem to have cancer...i think we are better at detecting it...however more are survising also
